Our partner is looking for a PowerBI and Data Analyst (FP&A and Business Systems) based in India. As a PowerBI and Data Analyst, you will play a key role in transforming financial and operational data into reliable insights that support strategic decision-making across the business. You will work at the intersection of Finance, Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A), and Technology, building scalable reporting solutions that improve visibility into business performance. Using Power BI, SQL, and the Microsoft data ecosystem, you will turn complex datasets into intuitive dashboards, meaningful KPIs, and actionable financial analysis. You will help modernize reporting processes by replacing manual workflows with automated, efficient, and governed business intelligence solutions. Working closely with Finance, Data, Technology, and commercial teams, you will ensure data accuracy, consistency, and accessibility across the organization. This is an opportunity to shape a growing analytics capability in a collaborative, international environment that values curiosity, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports to support financial planning, analysis, and business performance monitoring. Transform data from Microsoft Dataverse, Cosmos DB, and other enterprise systems into reliable, reporting-ready datasets that support accurate and consistent analysis. Build and maintain high-quality semantic models, dimensional data structures, and DAX calculations to enable effective business intelligence and decision-making. Use Power Query, SQL, and Microsoft data technologies to extract, cleanse, transform, validate, and combine data from multiple sources. Develop reporting solutions covering revenue, profitability, budgets, forecasts, costs, client performance, financial variances, and management reporting. Translate business requirements into meaningful KPIs, analytical reports, and scalable reporting solutions aligned with stakeholder needs. Validate reporting outputs against source systems, investigate discrepancies, and resolve data quality issues in collaboration with Finance, Data, and Technology teams. Optimize Power BI reports and data models for performance, usability, maintainability, and scalability. Apply consistent KPI definitions, data governance practices, documentation standards, and appropriate security controls across reporting solutions. Document datasets, business rules, calculations, data transformations, and reporting logic to ensure transparency and maintainability. Identify opportunities to automate and streamline manual reporting processes, improving operational efficiency and reducing repetitive tasks. Collaborate with Finance, FP&A, Data, Technology, and commercial stakeholders to understand business challenges and deliver actionable insights. Present analytical findings and recommendations clearly to technical and non-technical audiences, helping stakeholders make informed decisions. Contribute to the development of modern business intelligence capabilities by exploring improved data platforms, deployment practices, and reporting methodologies. Requirements Demonstrated professional experience developing Power BI reports, dashboards, and business intelligence solutions. Advanced proficiency in Power Query, DAX, and Power BI data modeling, including the design of scalable and maintainable analytical models. Strong SQL skills, with the ability to independently investigate, query, validate, and transform complex datasets. Experience working with Microsoft Dataverse, Dynamics 365 data, or similarly complex enterprise operational datasets. Proven ability to prepare and transform data from multiple sources into reliable, analysis-ready reporting structures. Strong understanding of data modeling principles, including star schemas, fact tables, dimension tables, relationships, and semantic models. Experience gathering business requirements and translating them into effective, scalable reporting and analytics solutions. Confidence working with financial data and collaborating with Finance and FP&A stakeholders to deliver meaningful business insights. Understanding of financial planning and reporting concepts, including budgets, forecasts, actuals, profitability analysis, variance reporting, and management reporting. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to simplify complex analytical concepts and explain findings clearly. A collaborative, proactive, and curious mindset, with the confidence to challenge assumptions, ask insightful questions, and investigate the story behind the data. A continuous improvement mindset and a strong interest in developing automated, efficient, and scalable reporting solutions. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Azure Cosmos DB, Microsoft Fabric, Azure SQL, or SQL Server. Familiarity with Power BI Service administration, deployment pipelines, and Dataflows. Experience with Microsoft Fabric Lakehouse, data warehousing, or other modern Microsoft data platforms. Knowledge of source control, structured business intelligence deployment practices, and CI/CD processes. Exposure to budgeting, financial planning, or FP&A systems. An interest in building new analytics capabilities and improving existing reporting processes in a changing business environment.
