Location: Newtown or Llandrindod Wells Working Hours: Up to Full-time (37.5 hours per week) | Part time hours considered Salary: Competitive hourly rate dependent on experience and banding Pulse Mental Health is currently recruiting for an experienced Clinical Psychologist, Counselling Psychologist or Forensic Psychologist to join a specialist Adult Mental Health Service based in Mid Wales. This is an excellent opportunity for a Band 7 or Band 8a Psychologist looking to work within a supportive multidisciplinary team delivering high-quality psychological interventions to adults experiencing a range of mental health difficulties and trauma-related presentations. The service is seeking a psychologist who can be present in clinic at least four days per week, working from either Newtown or Llandrindod Wells. The role offers a competitive hourly rate, regular clinical support and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact within a well-established community mental health service. Responsibilities As a Psychologist within the service, you will: Provide specialist psychological assessment, formulation and intervention for adults presenting with a range of mental health difficulties. Deliver evidence-based psychological therapies tailored to individual client needs. Work with individuals experiencing complex trauma and other common or severe mental health presentations. Undertake comprehensive risk assessments and contribute to risk management planning. Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, supporting holistic and person-centred care. Provide psychological consultation and guidance to colleagues and partner services where appropriate. Maintain accurate and timely clinical records in line with professional and organisational standards. Contribute to service development initiatives and continuous quality improvement activities. Qualifications and Experience To be considered for this role, you should have: Essential Doctorate level qualification in Clinical Psychology, Counselling Psychology or Forensic Psychology. HCPC registration as a Practitioner Psychologist. Experience working within adult mental health services. Experience delivering evidence-based psychological interventions. Strong assessment, formulation and report-writing skills. Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team. Desirable Experience working with trauma presentations. Previous NHS experience.
