Full job description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, which manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Privacy Implementation Lead based in the United States. The Privacy Implementation Lead will drive the implementation of privacy requirements across a sophisticated, AI-powered technology platform, ensuring that legal obligations translate into effective technical and operational controls. Reporting to the VP of Legal, Privacy, this individual contributor will work closely with Product, Engineering, Data Science, and Security teams to embed privacy into products, systems, and data workflows. The role combines privacy operations, technical project management, and cross-functional collaboration to bridge the gap between regulatory expectations and real-world system functionality. You will coordinate implementation initiatives, validate privacy controls, document data flows, and establish scalable processes that strengthen compliance and accountability. You will also leverage AI tools and automation to streamline quality assurance, improve operational efficiency, and support continuous improvement. This remote-first opportunity is ideal for a detail-oriented, technically curious professional who thrives in a dynamic technology environment and is passionate about responsible data practices.

Translate privacy obligations, regulatory requirements, and legal guidance into clear technical and operational requirements, defining implementation steps, ownership, dependencies, deadlines, and expected outcomes. Lead the operational implementation of privacy initiatives, coordinating with Product, Engineering, Data Science, Security, and other stakeholders to manage deliverables, resolve blockers, and ensure projects progress through completion. Support the implementation and ongoing monitoring of privacy controls across digital properties, advertising technologies, and data collection practices. Collaborate with technical teams to understand and document data flows, system dependencies, integrations, and storage practices to support requirements related to data deletion, suppression, retention, and permitted data use. Help develop reporting and analytics guidelines and establish appropriate data retention requirements based on business objectives, client needs, and privacy obligations. Implement and manage privacy, compliance, tracking, and governance tools, including third-party solutions for testing and monitoring tracking technologies. Test, validate, and document privacy controls, including pixel and tag behavior, consent signals, opt-out mechanisms, deletion workflows, and data retention safeguards. Establish repeatable processes for privacy intake, backlog management, implementation tracking, testing, quality assurance, and reporting. Identify gaps between privacy requirements and actual system functionality, collaborating with relevant teams to prioritize remediation and verify that corrective actions are effective. Use AI tools and automation to improve quality assurance, reduce manual effort, streamline workflows, and enhance the Privacy team's operational effectiveness. Maintain accurate documentation, implementation records, project updates, and reporting to support transparency, accountability, and ongoing compliance. Promote cross-functional collaboration and ensure privacy considerations are incorporated into technical and product workflows throughout implementation. Requirements: At least five years of experience in privacy operations, privacy implementation, technical program management, product operations, compliance operations, legal operations, data governance, or a related field. Demonstrated experience working directly with technical teams, including Product, Engineering, Data Science, Security, or comparable functions. Strong project management skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple workstreams, manage dependencies, track deadlines, and drive initiatives through completion. Ability to understand technical concepts such as data flows, APIs, pixels, tags, consent signals, databases, system integrations, data deletion, and retention workflows. Familiarity with privacy frameworks and regulations, including GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, U.S. state privacy laws, consent requirements, opt-outs, data deletion rights, data retention, and privacy by design. Experience implementing or managing privacy, compliance, tracking, governance, or technical workflow tools, including supporting their testing, monitoring, and ongoing effectiveness. Practical experience using AI tools or automation to improve operational efficiency, streamline processes, or strengthen quality assurance. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex legal, privacy, and technical requirements into clear instructions and actionable deliverables. Strong documentation skills, exceptional attention to detail, and sound judgment when identifying implementation gaps, evaluating risks, and recommending practical solutions. A proactive, technically curious, and solution-oriented mindset, with the ability to ask effective questions, work independently, and collaborate across multiple teams. Ability to adapt to evolving requirements, manage competing priorities, and maintain consistent execution in a fast-paced technology environment. Additional experience considered an asset: Experience in advertising technology, marketing technology, data platforms, digital measurement, tracking, or another technically complex environment. Familiarity with programmatic advertising products, digital advertising infrastructure, or related data collection technologies. Experience supporting pixels, tags, tracking technologies, or client-facing digital properties. Previous experience implementing or managing third-party tracking technology testing, monitoring, or governance tools. Benefits: Competitive base salary: Annual salary range of USD $125,600 to $172,700 for candidates based in the United States. Additional compensation opportunities: Eligible employees may receive additional compensation, including annual bonuses and equity awards, depending on the role and applicable arrangements.
