Full job description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, which manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Product Manager, Digital Assets – Tokenization based in Canada . Join a globally distributed fintech team building next-generation brokerage infrastructure and regulated digital asset products. In this strategic role, you will shape the product vision and roadmap for tokenization solutions, including networks and experiences that connect issuers, brokers, market makers, and institutional partners. You will lead initiatives spanning token issuance, minting and redemption, settlement, and custody, balancing customer needs with regulatory obligations and technical feasibility. Working closely with Engineering, Legal, Compliance, Operations, Finance, and commercial teams, you will turn complex financial workflows into scalable product experiences. You will also monitor emerging policy developments and market trends to help anticipate changes in the tokenized securities and real-world asset (RWA) landscape. This is an opportunity to take significant ownership of an evolving digital asset ecosystem in a fast-paced, innovative environment.

Define and execute the product vision, roadmap, and success metrics for digital asset tokenization infrastructure, including the Instant Tokenization Network and related issuer, authorized participant, and broker experiences. Own strategic product initiatives end-to-end, including token minting and redemption, settlement workflows, custody decisions, and on-chain issuance for partners. Prioritize product investments by balancing partner demand, regulatory constraints, engineering capacity, commercial opportunities, and long-term business value. Evaluate build-versus-buy, direct-versus-partner, and onshore-versus-offshore approaches to infrastructure and product development. Conduct discovery with issuers, authorized participants, market makers, broker-dealers, exchanges, custodians, and institutional clients to identify needs and validate opportunities. Improve issuer and authorized participant experiences through clear documentation, effective sandbox environments, streamlined onboarding, robust exception handling, and efficient operational processes. Translate partner feedback into actionable product requirements and a prioritized roadmap, setting realistic expectations and supporting commercial discussions with business development and sales teams. Develop broker enablement resources, including APIs, SDKs, documentation, and reference integrations, to help brokers and fintech partners access tokenized equities. Collaborate with Legal and Compliance teams on transfer-agent requirements, broker-dealer regulations, custody, anti-money laundering (AML), and tokenized securities frameworks. Monitor regulatory developments, policy signals, competitor activity, and trends in tokenized securities and real-world assets to inform product strategy proactively. Align Engineering, Operations, Finance, Risk, Business Development, and leadership around roadmap priorities, escalating trade-offs and resolving blockers early. Use AI-powered tools as part of daily product management workflows to improve research, analysis, planning, and execution. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. At least 6 years of experience in Product Management, Engineering, and/or startup leadership, with senior-level ownership in tokenization, digital assets, brokerage, exchanges, market infrastructure, or capital markets technology. Demonstrated experience delivering tokenized securities, real-world asset issuance, on-chain settlement, or closely related regulated digital asset products at production or near-production institutional scale. Strong understanding of equity and capital markets infrastructure, including trading, custody, clearing and settlement, stock lending and borrowing, and post-trade operations. Ability to understand how traditional financial market workflows translate to blockchain-based infrastructure and tokenized asset products. Experience delivering products in regulated environments, working closely with Legal, Compliance, Risk, and Operations teams. Comfort operating in ambiguous, fast-moving situations and making informed trade-offs without waiting for every detail to be resolved. Proven ability to conduct customer and partner discovery, translate insights into product requirements, and develop a clear, prioritized roadmap. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with engineers, institutional partners, senior executives, and cross-functional stakeholders. Strong business judgment and commercial acumen, including the ability to evaluate return on investment, partner demand, regulatory exposure, technical feasibility, timelines, and budgets. Experience integrating AI tools into everyday product management workflows. Nice to have: Experience at a broker-dealer, exchange, transfer agent, custodian, market maker, or institutional digital asset or RWA platform. Nice to have: Background in tokenized money market funds, tokenized securities, real-world asset issuance, or other regulated tokenized asset products. Nice to have: Experience designing request-for-quote (RFQ) processes or atomic settlement workflows. Nice to have: A combination of traditional regulated financial services experience and crypto-native infrastructure expertise. Benefits: Competitive salary and stock options. Health benefits. One-time US$500 home-office setup allowance for new hires. Monthly US$150 stipend provided through a Brex card. Opportunity to work remotely within a globally distributed team. Exposure to innovative brokerage infrastructure, regulated digital assets, tokenization, and financial technology. Significant product ownership and the opportunity to influence strategic initiatives in an evolving market. Collaboration with experienced professionals across engineering, trading, brokerage, compliance, and financial services.
