Full job description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Product Manager II, Financial Data - Screening & Search based in Canada. We are seeking an experienced Product Manager to shape how financial data is discovered, screened, and accessed through search and AI-powered agentic workflows. In this role, you will bridge structured financial datasets, search infrastructure, and intelligent tools to deliver relevant, reliable, and actionable insights for financial professionals. You will own product roadmaps, translate customer needs into clear requirements, and guide features from discovery and development through launch and continuous improvement. Working closely with engineering, design, data platform, AI/ML, and go-to-market teams, you will improve content structure, indexing, ranking, and retrieval quality. Your work will help financial analysts, investment bankers, and corporate development teams access critical information more efficiently. This is an opportunity to influence the evolution of a sophisticated SaaS platform at the intersection of financial data, enterprise search, and artificial intelligence.

Define and execute short- and mid-term product roadmaps for financial data search, screening, and agentic capabilities, ensuring alignment with business priorities and customer needs. Contribute to the long-term financial data product vision by developing a deep understanding of customer personas, including financial analysts, investment bankers, and corporate development professionals, and how they discover, screen, and query financial information. Evaluate gaps in searchability, screening logic, and content structure, prioritizing improvements to data tagging, indexing, and ranking to improve discoverability and relevance. Develop, document, and prioritize product requirements documents (PRDs) informed by customer discovery, user feedback, and business objectives, with particular focus on search relevance, screening functionality, and agentic retrieval. Partner with engineering, design, and go-to-market teams to coordinate product development, successful launches, and adoption of new search, screening, and AI-enabled features. Collaborate with data platform and AI/ML teams to define how financial content should be structured and exposed for effective use by search systems and agentic tools. Lead the end-to-end product development lifecycle, from ideation and user stories through implementation, release, and post-launch iteration. Establish and execute quality assurance strategies to evaluate search accuracy, screening precision, and the reliability of AI agent retrieval across financial datasets. Work with core data platform teams to ensure reliable data delivery, efficient indexing performance, and seamless support for search, screening, and agentic use cases. Maintain a well-organized product backlog, coordinate dependencies, and communicate priorities and progress clearly to stakeholders throughout the development process. Requirements: At least 5 years of experience building and managing SaaS products in close collaboration with engineering teams and Scrum or Agile delivery teams. Experience working with financial data products and an understanding of how structured financial information supports research, screening, analysis, and decision-making. Proven experience owning product roadmaps and delivering features end-to-end in a SaaS environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create clear PRDs, roadmaps, user stories, and requirements that align stakeholders and support execution. Demonstrated organizational skills and attention to detail, including the ability to manage complex product backlogs, competing priorities, and cross-functional dependencies. Strategic thinking and a customer discovery mindset, with the ability to understand client workflows, uncover pain points, and translate insights into product improvements. Ability to collaborate effectively with engineering, design, data platform, AI/ML, and go-to-market teams to deliver high-quality product experiences. A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, or a related field. Nice to have: Familiarity with AI-powered search technologies, agentic systems, or AI-enabled workflow solutions. Benefits: Base salary: CAD 111,000–139,000 per year. Performance-based bonus: Additional compensation may be available based on performance and applicable program terms. Equity opportunities: Equity compensation may be offered as part of the overall package. Comprehensive benefits: Access to a generous benefits program. Remote work: Remote position based in Canada. Professional impact: The opportunity to shape financial data discovery and AI-enabled workflows for professional users. Cross-functional collaboration: Work alongside specialists in product, engineering, design, data platforms, and AI/ML. Innovation-focused environment: Contribute to the development of advanced enterprise search and financial intelligence capabilities.
