Full job description
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Program Manager, Cloud & Data Protection based in the United States. The Program Manager, Cloud & Data Protection will drive the successful delivery of strategic product development and innovation initiatives across cloud, infrastructure, and managed services. This role brings structure, accountability, and cross-functional alignment to complex programs, translating product priorities into clear execution plans and measurable outcomes. Working closely with Product Managers, architects, analysts, engineering teams, and senior leadership, you will coordinate milestones, dependencies, resources, and delivery risks from planning through launch. You will establish effective governance practices, remove execution barriers, and enable timely decisions across multiple concurrent initiatives. Through clear reporting and practical recommendations, you will give leadership reliable visibility into portfolio health, delivery confidence, and resource trade-offs. This opportunity is ideal for an organized, proactive program leader who thrives in a collaborative technology environment and enjoys turning complex plans into results.
Lead program and portfolio execution: Translate product strategy and priorities into integrated delivery plans with defined outcomes, milestones, owners, dependencies, risks, and decision points. Monitor delivery progress: Maintain a consolidated view of assigned programs, assess delivery confidence, identify potential delays, and recommend changes to sequencing, priorities, or resource allocation when needed. Establish program governance: Apply the Product Development Lifecycle framework to ensure required deliverables, stage-gate criteria, readiness assessments, and approvals are completed efficiently. Implement delivery standards: Maintain fit-for-purpose program controls, including integrated schedules, risk and issue logs, assumption and dependency tracking, RACI matrices, decision records, launch-readiness criteria, and executive status reports. Resolve risks and delivery barriers: Identify systemic causes of delays, streamline cross-functional handoffs, coach initiative owners on governance practices, and escalate unresolved issues with clear impacts and recommended actions. Coordinate cross-functional stakeholders: Partner with Product Managers to turn product priorities and innovation concepts into executable programs while preserving their ownership of customer insights, product strategy, roadmaps, and business outcomes. Manage dependencies and competing priorities: Facilitate resolution of conflicts involving scope, timelines, requirements, handoffs, and resource commitments. Escalate decisions when teams cannot reach alignment. Support portfolio planning and executive reviews: Represent assigned programs in planning and governance forums, coordinate inputs for roadmap reviews and quarterly business reviews, and provide recommendations for resource planning and prioritization. Deliver executive-level reporting: Communicate program health, milestone progress, risks, dependencies, capacity constraints, recovery plans, and required decisions in a concise, actionable format. Improve delivery effectiveness: Identify opportunities to simplify processes, strengthen accountability, improve governance, and increase consistency across product development initiatives. Coordinate partner and vendor workstreams: Where applicable, manage external dependencies that affect product milestones, technical readiness, and launch outcomes. Requirements Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, information systems, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Program management experience: At least 5 years of experience leading complex, cross-functional projects or programs within a technology, cloud, infrastructure, or managed services organization. End-to-end delivery ownership: Demonstrated ability to manage complex programs from planning through completion, including integrated schedules, dependencies, risk management, executive communications, and delivery recovery. Governance and delivery expertise: Strong command of project and program management practices, including governance frameworks, scope and change management, dependency resolution, escalation, and continuous improvement. Planning and organizational skills: Excellent attention to detail and the ability to independently manage multiple concurrent initiatives, competing priorities, and evolving deadlines. Communication and stakeholder management: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to turn complex program information into concise executive updates, decision requests, risk assessments, trade-off recommendations, and recovery plans. Program management tools: Proficiency with tools such as Smartsheet, Asana, Jira, or Monday.com, as well as Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. Reporting and documentation: Experience building and maintaining integrated schedules, risk and issue logs, assumption and dependency registers, RACI matrices, decision records, and executive program reports. Product and technology experience: Preferred experience leading programs within product management, cloud, managed services, or infrastructure technology environments, working closely with Product Managers, Product Architects, Engineering, and operations teams. Product development methodologies: Familiarity with product development lifecycle frameworks, stage-gate processes, and agile methodologies. Resource and recovery planning: Experience assessing capacity constraints across complex programs and developing practical sequencing, prioritization, resource trade-off, and recovery recommendations. Professional certification: PMP, PgMP, or a comparable project or program management certification is preferred. Partner and vendor coordination: Experience managing complex external workstreams that influence product development schedules, technical readiness, or launch delivery is an advantage. Work environment and physical requirements: Ability to work in an office-based, hybrid, or remote environment, remain stationary for extended periods while using a computer and participating in meetings, and occasionally move light materials such as a laptop or documents.
