Responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising engineering projects to ensure they are completed safely, on time, within budget, and in compliance with quality, technical, and HSE requirements. The role includes managing project teams, coordinating with clients and stakeholders, monitoring project performance, implementing corrective actions, and promoting a safe working environment while ensuring customer satisfaction and operational excellence.

Accountability :

• Preparing, scheduling, coordinating and monitoring the assigned engineering projects.
• Monitoring compliance to applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards and specifications
• Interacting daily with the clients to interpret their needs and requirements and representing them in the field.
• Perform overall quality control of the work (budget, schedule, plans, personnel’s performance) and report regularly on project status.
• Assign responsibilities and mentor project team.
• Cooperate and communicate effectively with project manager and other project participants to provide assistance and technical support.
• Review engineering deliverables and initiate appropriate corrective actions.
• Incident investigation and taking corrective action.
• Taking corrective actions on OH&S findings.

Aut Authority :

• To inspect the equipment safe to use.
• Manage projects and plan ahead as needed to meet deadlines
• Responsibility to customer satisfaction reports / WCR collection from clients.
• To stop any unsafe activity at workplace
• To do the necessary arrangement to correct the unsafe condition of the site.
• To warn the subordinates under his supervision upon unsafe behavior at work site
• To escalate to management on unsafe action and unsafe condition
• To discuss the site safety issues with the customer / client
• To discuss the site safety issues/ controls with the subcontractor
• To utilize the allocated resource to achieve Quality, OH&S goals
• To train the work group on HSE/Operational aspect

• Responsible for Develops project objectives by reviewing project proposals and plans and conferring with management.
• Responsible for Determines project responsibilities by identifying project phases and elements, assigning personnel to phases and elements, and reviewing bids from contractors.
• Responsible for Determines project specifications by studying product design, customer requirements, and performance standards.
• Responsible for Completes technical studies.
• Responsible for Determines project schedule by studying project plan and specifications, calculating time requirements, and sequencing project elements.
• Responsible for Maintains project schedule by monitoring project progress, coordinating activities, and resolving problems.
• Responsible for Controls project plan by reviewing design, specifications, and plan, scheduling changes, and recommending actions.
• Responsible for Maintain effective communication with stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and vendors.
• Responsible for raising SMR/PR for the project requirements.
• Responsible for payment certificate collection from main contractor/client.
• Responsible for monthly site measurement, billing and keeping material update records.
• Responsible for daily allocation of Employees to site.
• Responsible to meet department productivity and quality goals.
• Responsible to report ill health, injury and near misses’ statistics to safety department.
• Responsible to undertake toolbox talks based upon the changes in OH&S risks at site level.
• Responsible to Participate in risk assessment and toolbox talks.
• Responsible to ensure equipment are safe and free from defects or hazards.
• Responsible to issue permit to work as well as to monitor and close the PTW.
• Responsible for project-related handovers to the employer/firm while going on vacation, changing positions, or quitting.

Duties: (The task performed while discharging responsibilities)

• Inspection request / check list for approval from the consultants.
• Execution of works as per main contractors’ construction program.
• Filling out time sheets for employment.
• Quality (Visual inspection) verification to ensure the received goods are as per the SMR.
• Estimation, Quantity Surveying, Quality assurance with adherence to the ISO procedures.
• Ensure the workers are safety inducted before indulging into any work.
• Ensure risk assessment and its controls are adequate as per the changing requirements of the site.
• To participate safety review meetings at site and provide HSE statistics related to ill health near miss injury if any etc.
• To monitor and control subcontractor’s activities against approved method statements and risk assessment plan.
• Manage projects and plan ahead as needed to meet deadlines.
• Responsibility to customer satisfaction reports / WCR collection from clients.
• Payment and payment certificate collection from main contractor/client
• Participate in emergency drills and take actions as per the recommendations.
• Take corrective actions on audit findings related to HSEQ.
