Full job description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, which manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Project Implementation Manager based in Canada. The Project Implementation Manager III will lead end-to-end software implementation projects for clients operating in highly regulated industries, including pharmaceuticals and life sciences. This role oversees the full project lifecycle, from initial planning and requirements gathering through configuration, validation, training, go-live, and post-implementation support. Acting as the primary client liaison, you will ensure clear communication, effective stakeholder coordination, and successful delivery within agreed scope, timelines, budgets, and quality standards. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to manage project dependencies, resolve challenges, and maintain strong client relationships. This opportunity is suited to an experienced project management professional who combines technical understanding with a client-focused mindset and thrives in a remote, international environment.

Lead client implementation projects from initial handoff and kickoff through planning, configuration, validation, training, go-live, project closeout, and transition to ongoing support. Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, setting expectations, providing regular progress updates, documenting meetings, and maintaining productive working relationships. Develop and maintain project plans, milestones, dependencies, risks, issues, decisions, and action items across multiple concurrent projects. Coordinate cross-functional teams, including implementation engineers, configuration and validation specialists, Account Management, Business Development, Technical Support, and other internal stakeholders. Gather and document client requirements, support project scoping and estimation, and ensure appropriate internal reviews and client approvals before work begins. Monitor project scope, schedules, budgets, resources, deliverables, and overall health, proactively identifying risks and recommending corrective or preventive actions. Ensure project activities align with contractual commitments, Statements of Work, internal procedures, service-level agreements, and applicable quality expectations. Coordinate the preparation, review, approval, and delivery of implementation and validation documentation, including plans, specifications, test results, and summary reports when required. Oversee workflow configuration, configuration freezes, change control, production setup, release readiness, and project closeout activities. Review project time records and relevant invoices, communicate budget status, and support decisions regarding change orders or work stoppages when necessary. Deliver system administration training and product demonstrations, contribute to training materials and videos, and help clients understand software functionality. Maintain knowledge of the software portfolio, implementation methodologies, and the regulated life sciences environment. Coordinate upgrades, address client questions, and manage the transition from implementation to post-go-live support and Account Management. Maintain accurate records across project management, customer relationship, and support systems, including tools such as Wrike, JIRA, and Freshdesk. Advocate for client needs while balancing contractual scope, quality requirements, delivery constraints, and business priorities. Travel as required and perform other related duties as assigned. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, business, life sciences, or a related field, or equivalent relevant professional experience. At least five years of experience in SaaS implementation, client services, customer support, project management, or a closely related field. Demonstrated experience managing multiple client projects simultaneously, with accountability for scope, timelines, budgets, risks, issues, and stakeholder communication. Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience leading client meetings, delivering presentations, and providing training. Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, prioritization, and follow-through. Ability to coordinate and delegate activities across cross-functional teams without direct supervisory authority. Ability to learn complex software quickly and communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences. Ability to collaborate effectively with clients and colleagues across multiple time zones and consistently work the schedule assigned to the position. Preferred: PMP, CAPM, or an equivalent project management certification. Preferred: Three or more years of experience with enterprise SaaS, IaaS, or PaaS solutions in the life sciences sector. Preferred: Experience working in regulated GxP environments and supporting software implementation or validation deliverables. Preferred: Knowledge of enterprise software configuration, requirements management, validation, change control, and release or upgrade processes. Preferred: Familiarity with project management, ticketing, and collaboration platforms such as Wrike, JIRA, Freshdesk, or comparable tools. Benefits: Salary: $72,800–$83,000 USD, depending on qualifications, skills, and professional experience. Work arrangement: Fully remote position. Contract: Full-time, temporary W-2 contract for 12–18 months. Schedule: 12:00 p.m.–9:00 p.m. Pacific Standard Time (PST). Medical, dental, and vision insurance: 100% of qualifying employee medical premiums covered and 50% of qualifying dependent premiums covered. Additional insurance: Employee Assistance Program options, basic life insurance, long-term disability, and other coverage options. Retirement savings: 401(k) plan with employer matching.
