Full job description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Project Manager based in the United States. The Project Manager will lead cross-functional product development projects from approved scope through launch, ensuring teams remain aligned, milestones are achievable, and deliverables meet required readiness standards. This role is central to coordinating product development activities across engineering, sourcing, quality, regulatory, manufacturing, supply chain, and commercial teams. You will translate business priorities into actionable project plans, manage dependencies and critical paths, and make risks and decisions visible to the right stakeholders. By facilitating collaboration and driving accountability, you will help teams navigate changing requirements, resolve execution challenges, and meet customer commitments. The position combines structured project governance with practical problem-solving in a dynamic product development environment. It is an opportunity for an experienced project professional to improve execution practices, strengthen cross-functional coordination, and contribute to the successful launch of healthcare products.

As Project Manager, you will oversee project planning, governance, and execution while ensuring functional leaders retain ownership of their respective technical, quality, regulatory, sourcing, and manufacturing decisions. You will establish clear priorities, maintain project visibility, and coordinate timely decisions and follow-through throughout the product development lifecycle. Build and maintain integrated project plans connecting Product Management, Engineering, Sourcing, Quality, Regulatory, Creative, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Marketing, and Commercial milestones. Administer the stage-gate product development process, including meeting preparation, readiness assessments, required documentation, approvals, risk reviews, and follow-up actions. Drive project cadence and execution from approved scope through launch, coordinating dependencies, decisions, action items, and escalations. Identify and manage critical-path activities, focusing cross-functional efforts on tasks that could affect launch dates, project commitments, or customer expectations. Maintain clear, decision-ready reporting on project health, schedule confidence, major risks, resource constraints, and leadership decisions required. Identify and challenge unrealistic timelines, sequencing assumptions, readiness gaps, and unassigned responsibilities while respecting functional ownership and decision-making authority. Monitor, recommend, and implement product lifecycle management process improvements in response to evolving business needs and applicable standards. Coordinate recovery plans and project replanning when testing, supplier performance, requirements, approvals, resource capacity, or other assumptions change materially. Facilitate focused project meetings, document decisions and responsibilities, and ensure overdue commitments are resolved or escalated appropriately. Coordinate cross-functional product labeling workflows, schedules, dependencies, and approval completeness while leaving content and approval decisions with the responsible functions. Keep project plans, records, risk registers, decision logs, milestones, and status updates current in designated project and portfolio management tools. Analyze project performance, rework, missed commitments, and recurring delays to improve templates, governance, planning standards, and execution practices. Requirements: The ideal candidate is an experienced project management professional who can bring structure to complex product development initiatives, influence stakeholders without direct authority, and balance speed with quality and operational readiness. You should be comfortable managing multiple priorities, communicating risks clearly, and maintaining reliable project plans in a changing environment. Required qualifications and experience: At least 5 years of experience managing complex, cross-functional physical product development projects from approved scope through launch. Strong working knowledge of project planning, scheduling, dependencies, critical-path management, risk and issue management, decision tracking, and stage-gate readiness. Experience coordinating cross-functional teams across areas such as Product Management, Engineering, Sourcing, Quality, Regulatory, Creative, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain. Demonstrated ability to drive accountability, influence stakeholders, and escalate issues effectively without relying on positional authority. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including meeting facilitation and concise, actionable project-status reporting. Experience with project and portfolio management tools such as Smartsheet, Asana, Microsoft Project, or similar platforms. Strong organizational skills, sound judgment, and the ability to challenge assumptions, identify emerging risks, and coordinate practical solutions. Preferred qualifications and experience: Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or comparable formal project management training. Experience developing, manufacturing, and commercializing healthcare products, medical devices, or other regulated products, particularly in a B2B distribution environment. Familiarity with quality management systems, controlled product development processes, or ISO 13485 environments. Experience managing multiple concurrent projects with shared resources and competing priorities. A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in business, engineering, operations, supply chain, or a related field. Benefits: Paid parental leave. Scholarship reimbursement to support education and professional development. 401(k) plan with employer matching. Benefits coverage effective on the first day of employment. Paid short-term disability leave. Work-from-home flexibility. Generous paid time off, starting on the first day of employment. Paid holidays. Health and wellness program. Employee discount program across the company's family of businesses.
