Overview Join a leading engineering and consulting environment focused on delivering innovative power infrastructure solutions for mission-critical facilities, hyperscale data centers, and advanced energy systems. In this role, you will lead complex electrical power projects from initial planning through design, construction coordination, commissioning, and final delivery. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams, clients, utilities, vendors, and contractors to ensure projects meet technical, financial, and operational objectives. Your expertise will help drive reliable electrical infrastructure, including medium- and high-voltage systems, energy storage, microgrids, and backup power solutions. You will oversee project budgets, schedules, quality standards, and stakeholder relationships while identifying risks and opportunities for improvement. This fully remote opportunity combines technical leadership, commercial responsibility, and innovation in a collaborative environment that values professional growth and continuous improvement.

Project leadership and delivery: Lead power solutions projects throughout their lifecycle, including project kickoff, design development, procurement support, construction coordination, commissioning, energization, and closeout, according to the assigned scope. Technical coordination: Coordinate multidisciplinary activities involving electrical distribution, medium- and high-voltage systems, substations, generation, energy storage, microgrids, inverter-based resources, backup power, and associated control systems. Planning and execution: Define project scopes, deliverables, technical assumptions, execution plans, schedules, budgets, and resource requirements in collaboration with engineering teams and project leadership. Vendor and contractor management: Coordinate subconsultants, vendors, and external partners, including defining scopes of work, reviewing proposals, evaluating bids, monitoring performance, and reviewing deliverables. Stakeholder engagement: Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, utilities, contractors, commissioning teams, engineering disciplines, and other stakeholders, maintaining clear communication and alignment throughout project execution. Quality assurance and risk management: Ensure project deliverables meet applicable codes, safety requirements, quality standards, design criteria, and client expectations. Coordinate quality reviews and help resolve design, field, construction, and commissioning issues. Schedule and resource management: Coordinate team assignments, resource allocation, and project schedules with project managers and directors to support efficient execution and timely delivery. Financial management: Prepare, forecast, and monitor project budgets, profitability, margins, bill rates, utilization, and overall financial performance. Identify financial risks and implement strategies to control costs and schedule deviations. Change orders and billing: Communicate additional fee requirements to clients, manage scope changes, develop cost schedules and schedules of value for progress billing, and monitor vendor and subcontractor commitments against approved budgets. Business development and proposals: Lead the preparation of technical proposals, fee estimates, scopes of work, assumptions, resource plans, and pricing. Support project pursuits and identify opportunities to expand existing client relationships. Technology and innovation: Identify and implement opportunities to use digital platforms, automation, advanced analytics, data visualization, and AI-enabled tools to improve forecasting, reporting, documentation, quality assurance, and project controls. Administrative responsibilities: Maintain project records, review and distribute daily reports, manage project contracts and work hours, complete departmental reporting, and ensure assigned deliverables are completed on time and within budget. Safety and compliance: Follow organizational and site safety requirements while ensuring that project activities align with applicable technical standards, data security expectations, and operational requirements. Requirements Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution. Professional experience: At least five years of experience in electrical engineering, power solutions, electrical design, energy infrastructure, or project management within mission-critical or similar environments. Electrical infrastructure expertise: Knowledge of electrical systems and components used in mission-critical facilities, including switchgear, transformers, generators, UPS systems, distribution equipment, substations, and controls. Power solutions knowledge: Familiarity with energy storage systems, microgrids, inverter-based resources, utility interconnections, medium- and high-voltage systems, and power delivery infrastructure. Engineering coordination: Experience coordinating multidisciplinary electrical projects involving engineering teams, clients, contractors, vendors, utilities, or other external stakeholders. Codes and standards: Knowledge of applicable electrical codes, industry standards, and safety requirements, including NEC, NFPA, NESC, and relevant IEEE standards. Commissioning and reliability: General understanding of protection and control, grounding, equipment integration, system reliability, commissioning, energization, and the redundancy and uptime requirements of mission-critical facilities. Project management: Strong understanding of project scope, scheduling, budgeting, risk management, quality assurance, contracts, resource allocation, and financial performance monitoring. Financial and commercial skills: Ability to prepare project budgets, forecast costs, monitor profitability, develop fee estimates, assess financial risks, and manage project changes. Digital tools: Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams. Working knowledge of SharePoint and project or construction management platforms such as Procore is expected. Technology adoption: Ability to identify opportunities for workflow automation, digital project controls, analytics, and AI-enabled tools while respecting data security and operational requirements. Communication and leadership: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences, coordinate teams, delegate responsibilities, and manage client relationships effectively. Organization and problem-solving: Excellent attention to detail, analytical thinking, planning, documentation, and the ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities independently. Work environment: Ability to work effectively with remote and on-site colleagues, travel to client and project locations when needed, and comply with company and site safety requirements. Travel availability: Approximately 10% travel, potentially to locations throughout the United States. Physical requirements: Ability to remain stationary frequently, move through offices and project facilities as needed, and occasionally handle equipment weighing up to 25 pounds.
