Opportunity To Unlock Your Creativity Think of all the times you were held back from trying new ideas because you were boxed in by bureaucratic legacy processes or old school tactics. Having a growth mindset is deeply ingrained into our company culture since day 1 so Fictiv is an environment where you have the creative liberty and support of the team to try big bold ideas to achieve our sales and customer goals. Opportunity To Grow Your Career There are plenty of jobs out there. The question is whether any of them will help you grow in your career? Will you be challenged by teammates to achieve your potential? Or are they roles that will ask you to do more of what you've already mastered. At Fictiv, you'll be surrounded by supportive teammates who will push you to be your best through their curiosity and passion. What You’ll Be Doing- At Fictiv, we’re building a company that is developing an operating system for sourcing custom mechanical parts. We already enjoy manufacturing and delivering highly complex, high quality parts for our Fortune 500 customers who are building the future with products like autonomous electric vehicles, surgical systems, and industrial robots. As we scale our business, we are looking to expand our growth within India. As a GCC QC Inspector, you will remotely inspect parts manufactured by Fictiv's U.S.-based manufacturing partners before they ship to customers building some of the world's most advanced products, including autonomous electric vehicles, surgical systems, and industrial robots. Your attention to detail and disciplined approach to quality directly protects our customers' trust in Fictiv's ability to deliver complex, high-quality parts on time, every time. Working from Bangalore, you'll review part photographs, inspection reports, and compliance documentation to release conforming shipments and catch nonconformance before they reach the customer. You'll balance two equally important priorities every day: shipping on time and shipping with zero defects. Areas of Responsibility - Remote inspection: Review part photographs, First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR), and other documentation uploaded by manufacturing partners to verify conformance to specification. Part release: Release all conforming parts by completing transactions in Fictiv's ERP system, enabling Logistics to release shipping information to manufacturing partners. Compliance document review: Review and verify Material Test Certificates (MTCs) and other compliance documents against ASME, ASTM, SAE/AMS, and ISO standards, customer-specified requirements, and contractual specifications before authorizing part release. Cross-functional coordination: Coordinate between manufacturing partners, customers, and internal teams to resolve non-conformances or clarify requirements prior to part release. Part rejection: Provide clear, timely information to manufacturing partners about the reason(s) for rejection, and review resubmitted parts. Nonconformance reporting: Enter nonconformance information into Fictiv's proprietary Workbench system so improvement actions are driven through the corrective action process. Supporting OTIF performance: Play a critical role in maintaining Fictiv's industry-leading on- time, in-full (OTdQ) performance by ensuring parts are released on time - even when manufacturing partners upload parts close to the shipping cutoff — while ensuring no escaping defects reach the customer. Continual improvement: Collaborate with colleagues in India and the U.S. to improve business processes and increase efficiency and effectiveness. Other duties: Perform other tasks as assigned by the Quality Manager or Lead. Desired Traits - A minimum of 5 years of manufacturing or quality inspection experience. Experience with 3D printed, CNC machined, injection moulded, and sheet metal fabricated parts, including finishes. Working knowledge of GD&T and the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings. Familiarity with reviewing Material Test Certificates and inspection documentation against ASME, ASTM, SAE/AMS, and ISO standards. A minimum of 3 years working U.S. business hours, or willingness and ability to do so. Excellent English reading and writing skills, with strong cross-culture communication skills. Strong structured problem-solving skills and comfort working with data and documentation. Self-starter who manages time efficiently and completes work in a timely manner without active supervision. Comfortable making quick, sound decisions under daily shipping-cutoff deadline pressure. Passionate about continuously improving and learning. Work Hours- 9:30 PM to 5:30 AM IST, Monday through Friday (aligned with US Pacific business hours) This role follows a hybrid schedule: 3 nights in office, 2 nights remote. We’re actively seeking teammates who: Bring diverse perspectives and experience to our culture and company. Excel at being part of a strong, empathetic team. Thrive in an environment emphasizing respect, honesty, collaboration, and growth. Have an ‘always learning’ mindset that celebrates learning, not just wins. Help us continue to build a world-class organization that values the contributions of all of our teammates We encourage applications from members of underrepresented groups, including but not limited to women, members of the LGBTQ community, people of color, people with disabilities, and veterans.
