Full Job Description

Amazon operates a world-class network of large, technologically advanced fulfillment centers. The Global Realty Team - Mexico is responsible for acquisition, construction and management of all facilities in the Amazon Fulfillment Network.

The Real Estate Manager will be a key part of the Real Estate Team in Mexico. This individual will operate on tactical levels and help coordinate the transactions that are part of the expansion of the Amazon fulfillment network throughout Latin America. The candidate will perform a full range of transaction support and asset management functions, including lease renewals, lease amendments, expansions, terminations, and reconfiguration of existing warehouse space. The role will also support portfolio optimization efforts such as tracking critical lease dates, managing landlord obligations, coordinating operational continuity during lease transitions, and maintaining accurate transaction data and documentation throughout the asset lifecycle. The candidate will work with internal and outsourced teams in an extremely fast-paced environment with a high degree of ambiguity.

Key job responsibilities Support real estate transaction team in managing deal flow, transaction processing, and administration needs, ensuring all relevant data, lease abstracts, and associated documents are accurately tracked and kept updated throughout the asset lifecycle. Track and manage critical lease dates across the Mexico portfolio, including expirations, renewal options, termination rights, and escalation schedules. Support lease renewal, amendment, expansion, and termination processes by coordinating due diligence, financial analysis, and internal approvals. Monitor landlord compliance with lease obligations, including maintenance and capital improvements. Assist in portfolio optimization efforts by identifying opportunities for consolidation, reconfiguration, or early termination of underperforming sites, and support operational continuity planning during lease transitions. Assist in implementation of a relevant system of metrics to plan, manage, measure, and evaluate performance pertaining to the transaction and asset management process. Effectively communicate expectations, requirements, and status of deals and lease actions to key business partners — both internal and external. Closely collaborate with Amazon operations, legal, finance, treasury, tax, and risk management to help deliver highly successful projects. Coordinate with external partners such as landlords, developers, design professionals, and other consultants. Continue to build a culture of speed, flexibility, and frugality with all business partners while helping coordinate internal initiatives and projects.
