MISSION
Full job description
MISSION TAR’s mission is to power intelligence for the world. We are building the world’s first off-grid power plant for data centers powered by renewable technologies. We firmly believe AI should be built in the US for the benefit of all people. For that, power must be fast, clean and scalable. We are singularly focused on delivering GW-scale power faster than anyone has ever done, by rethinking every layer of the stack. We vertically integrate to solve every bottleneck, from racking systems to power electronics to dispatch algorithms to on-site construction. Leave your mark on the future of civilization-scale energy infrastructure. COMPANY TAR is both a hardware and software company, we are building out massive, critical, physical infrastructure. TAR is working directly with one of the largest compute providers to scale and deploy 5GWs by 2028. We operate on…
- High ownership. High Agency. Own project end-to-end. Great people don’t need to be managed.
- Speed. We achieve great things on incredible timelines. We push ourselves to go faster.
- First principles. No ego. No hierarchy. Challenge every assumption.
- Passion. Solving the energy problem is one of the largest challenges that faces the world now and in the future. ABOUT THE ROLE As Receiving Clerk, you own the front door for every supplier delivery that arrives on site. Every component, piece of equipment, and consumable passes through you: you check it in against the purchase order, count it, document it, and get it into inventory so the teams building our infrastructure have what they need, when they need it. This is a hands-on, high-agency seat. You are the single point of contact for suppliers and drivers on arrival, and you are accountable for the accuracy of what we say is physically on site. You will partner closely with supply chain and site operations, while retaining ownership of receiving, physical counts, and the resolution of returns, overshipments, and damaged goods. RESPONSIBILITIES
- Own reception as the on-site point of contact for all supplier deliveries: confirm arrival windows, direct drivers to the right unloading area, and check every shipment against the purchase order and packing list before it is accepted. Deliveries may arrive onsite outside of regular business hours (later evening or weekends).
- Physically count all inbound material and on-hand inventory, running regular cycle counts so site inventory records match what is actually on the ground.
- Run the returns, overshipment, and damage processes end to end: document discrepancies with photos and notes at the time of delivery, notify procurement and the supplier the same day, and track each issue through credit, replacement, or return.
- Record every receipt, adjustment, and count in TAR's inventory software and Excel trackers, keeping data current and auditable so procurement and site leadership can make decisions from accurate numbers.
- Operate a forklift safely to unload, stage, and put away deliveries, keeping receiving and laydown areas organized, labeled, and clear.
- Flag shortages, recurring supplier issues, and incoming delivery risks early to procurement and site leads so they are resolved before they hit the schedule. QUALIFICATIONS
- Forklift certification, with a record of safe operation.
- Experience physically counting and reconciling inventory against purchase orders or packing lists.
- Working knowledge of the returns, overshipment, and damaged-goods process, including how to document and escalate a discrepancy.
- Basic Excel and computer skills: data entry, simple sorting and filtering, and email.
- Exposure to inventory management software, with comfort learning new tools and forms quickly.
- Clear, direct communication with suppliers, drivers, and internal teams.
- Attention to detail and follow-through: you close out every discrepancy you open. NICE TO HAVE
- Telehandler operation experience or certification. SALARY AND BENEFITS
- Up to $15K relocation bonus
- Unlimited PTO
- Health, Dental, Vision insurance
- $1K monthly stipend for meals
