About the RoleThe District Nursing service provides comprehensive nursing care to the greater Kurow area as part of the Oamaru District Nursing Team, this includes specialist wound care (including ACC), intravenous medications administration, palliative care, catheter management and much more.The service is closely linked to Dunedin hospital to help ensure patients are supported safely in the community after hospital discharge while also maintaining close liaison with local GP practices, Hospice and residential facilities. This is an opportunity for you to adapt and increase your clinical skills to become a ‘specialist generalist'. You will be out and about working in different places, and each hour is varied from the next. You'll be responsible for planning and implementing care to a diverse range of patients in the community.
