Our partner is looking for a Sales Engineer- Healthcare, Data Centers, Adjacent Markets based in United States. This role drives market development, specification influence, and project conversion across high-value, code-driven sectors including healthcare, data centers, and adjacent markets. You will build relationships with architects, engineers, consultants, contractors, and owners to position passive fire protection solutions early in the project lifecycle. The position combines technical sales, business development, specification management, and strategic account engagement. Success will be measured through specification wins, qualified pipeline development, stakeholder influence, and effective conversion of projects into sales. You will work closely with technical, marketing, and product teams to tailor solutions and develop compelling value propositions. The role offers significant autonomy in a remote environment while requiring approximately 40–60% travel to customers, projects, and industry events. Develop and execute a targeted growth strategy across healthcare, data center, and adjacent occupancy markets. Build and maintain relationships with architects, engineers, consultants, contractors, owners, and other key stakeholders to drive early-stage project engagement. Lead specification activities for steel column fire protection systems and compartmentation solutions. Identify, track, and influence relevant projects from initial design through construction and project conversion. Provide technical sales support and position solutions in alignment with applicable building codes, performance requirements, and customer needs. Collaborate with technical, marketing, and product development teams to support solution development, demand generation, and market growth. Develop compelling technical and commercial value propositions tailored to customer and project requirements. Monitor market trends, competitive activity, construction developments, and relevant code changes to inform commercial strategy. Support complex projects by coordinating multiple stakeholders and maintaining momentum throughout the sales and specification process. Represent the organization at industry events, trade shows, conferences, and other activities relevant to data centers and mission-critical infrastructure. Maintain accurate customer, opportunity, and project information within CRM systems and use market intelligence to support pipeline development. Travel approximately 40–60% to meet customers, project stakeholders, distributors, contractors, and industry partners. Requirements: Bring at least 5 years of experience in business development or technical sales, ideally within construction materials, fire protection, data centers, or a related sector. Demonstrate a strong understanding of the construction lifecycle, specification processes, and critical project performance requirements. Possess a technical background in engineering, architecture, construction science, or a related discipline, preferably. Demonstrate the ability to manage complex projects and navigate relationships involving multiple technical, commercial, and organizational stakeholders. Have exceptional communication, negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills. Be comfortable operating within a matrixed and multinational business environment. Demonstrate a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales and business development targets. Be proficient with CRM platforms such as Salesforce and Microsoft Office applications. Be self-motivated, results-oriented, organized, and comfortable working independently in a remote environment. Experience selling passive fire protection products or insulation materials is preferred. Possess technical knowledge of fire stopping, fireproofing, thermal insulation systems, or related construction technologies is preferred. Bring established relationships with distributors, contractors, architects, engineers, or other construction specifiers is preferred. Familiarity with LEED, green building standards, sustainability requirements, and related market drivers is preferred. Be willing and able to travel approximately 40–60% as required by the role.
