This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Sales Representative based in the United States. The Sales Representative will help families protect their financial future by identifying suitable life insurance solutions for their needs and budgets. This remote, commission-based opportunity focuses primarily on mortgage protection and final expense insurance, with access to additional products such as term life, whole life, indexed universal life, and annuities. You will receive comprehensive training, proven sales resources, and ongoing mentorship, making this opportunity accessible to motivated candidates without prior sales or insurance experience. Working with leads provided to you, you will connect with prospective clients, understand their circumstances, and guide them through available coverage options. The role offers flexibility to work part-time or full-time while developing valuable sales and client relationship skills. It is well suited to self-motivated individuals who enjoy helping others and are comfortable building their income through performance-based compensation.
As a Sales Representative, you will guide families through insurance options, build trusted client relationships, and manage the sales process using established training materials and support resources. Your responsibilities will include: Assess client needs: Understand families' financial protection goals, particularly their mortgage protection and final expense insurance needs, and identify appropriate coverage options. Present insurance solutions: Explain available policies, benefits, and costs through client appointments, helping families compare options and make informed decisions. Build client relationships: Deliver professional, responsive customer service and establish trust through clear communication and personalized guidance. Manage appointments: Use provided leads, proven phone scripts, and sales resources to contact interested prospects and schedule client meetings, including in-home appointments where required. Conduct client presentations: Use established presentation materials to explain insurance programs and help clients select coverage aligned with their needs and budgets. Develop product knowledge: Learn about mortgage protection, final expense, term life, whole life, medical supplements, indexed universal life, and annuity products. Maintain accurate records: Document client interactions, applications, transactions, and follow-up activities using the relevant tools and systems. Collaborate with the team: Participate in team communications, training sessions, conference calls, and other activities that support learning and sales performance. Follow the established sales process: Apply the provided training system and lead management practices to organize outreach, manage opportunities, and improve results. Continue professional development: Stay informed about insurance products, industry developments, and sales techniques through ongoing training and mentorship. Requirements: The ideal candidate is motivated, personable, and committed to helping families make informed financial protection decisions. Previous sales or insurance experience is not required, as comprehensive training is provided. Candidates should demonstrate the following: Communication skills: Strong verbal and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain information clearly and engage with a wide range of clients. Customer-focused approach: Genuine interest in understanding families' needs and helping them evaluate suitable insurance options. Motivation and initiative: A strong desire to learn, achieve goals, and build a successful sales practice in a commission-based environment. Self-management: Ability to organize your schedule, manage appointments, follow up with prospects, and work independently. Presentation skills: Comfort speaking with clients, explaining products, and conducting structured insurance presentations. Technology proficiency: Willingness to learn and use digital tools, communication platforms, and relevant sales systems. Teamwork: Ability to collaborate with colleagues, participate in team activities, and apply feedback from mentors and experienced sales professionals. Training commitment: Willingness to participate in the provided training programs, online learning opportunities, and ongoing professional development. Insurance licensing: An active life insurance license is not required to apply. Support may be available to help eligible candidates obtain the necessary license. Work authorization: Must be authorized to work in the United States. Work visa sponsorship is not available. Compensation expectations: Willingness to work as an independent contractor in a 1099 role with commission-only compensation and earnings dependent on individual performance. Benefits: Remote work: Flexibility to manage client outreach and appointments remotely, with some client meetings potentially conducted in person. Flexible schedule: Opportunity to pursue sales on a part-time or full-time basis. Comprehensive training: Access to training programs, bootcamps, conferences, sales scripts, and established presentation resources. Ongoing mentorship: Guidance from experienced agents and industry leaders, along with regular conference calls and team support. Provided leads: Access to leads from interested prospects, reducing the need for traditional cold calling. Broad product portfolio: Opportunity to work with more than 20 insurance carriers and offer a range of protection and financial products, subject to licensing and availability. Commission-based earnings: Typically around $500 per application, according to the role description. Actual earnings vary based on individual production and other factors. Illustrative first-year earnings: The role description estimates approximately $30,000–$60,000 for part-time agents and $75,000–$180,000 for full-time agents who follow the established system. These are estimates, not guaranteed or typical outcomes. Potential commission increases: Qualifying agents may be eligible for a 5% commission increase every two months, subject to applicable program criteria. Professional growth: Opportunities to develop sales expertise, insurance product knowledge, client relationship skills, and long-term career potential. Work-life balance: Flexibility to structure work around personal commitments, depending on client needs and individual business goals.
