Full job description
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, which manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Sales Support Coordinator based in the United States. This is an excellent opportunity for a customer-focused professional to support sales operations and build lasting relationships in the electrical and technical services industry. In this role, you will serve as a key point of contact for customers, coordinating inquiries, quotations, orders, and project follow-ups. You will work closely with sales representatives, operations teams, vendors, and business stakeholders to ensure transactions are accurate, efficient, and completed on time. By understanding customer needs and identifying opportunities to upsell and cross-sell, you will help strengthen relationships and contribute to business growth. The position combines customer service, administrative coordination, and commercial support in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. If you are organised, proactive, and motivated by delivering excellent customer experiences, this role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing customers, including electrical contractors, distributors, end users, and utility providers. Build positive working relationships with vendors, internal business unit leaders, and strategic partners to ensure customers receive effective support and value. Respond promptly to customer inquiries received by phone or email, providing accurate information or connecting customers with the appropriate resources. Prepare quotations based on guidance from local management and sales representatives, and distribute them through approved communication channels. Enter customer orders accurately and promptly into the relevant database, following established company and location procedures. Track quotations, projects, and orders through each stage of the process, maintaining consistent follow-up and clear records of customer communications. Coordinate with internal departments and operations teams to ensure customer transactions are processed efficiently and work progresses as expected. Communicate regularly with customers and internal stakeholders regarding quotations, order status, project progress, and work in process. Identify opportunities to upsell services, cross-sell relevant offerings, expand project scope, and improve order profitability. Support discussions and negotiations regarding additional charges associated with work performed, as appropriate. Prepare reports and maintain accurate documentation as assigned. Participate in relevant customer events and trade shows as directed by management. Demonstrate professionalism, integrity, accountability, and a customer-first approach while supporting broader team objectives and additional duties as needed. Requirements: An associate degree in a related field or equivalent relevant professional experience, along with at least 5 years of related experience. Experience in the electrical industry and business-to-business sales support is preferred. Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics GP is an advantage. Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers, vendors, colleagues, and management. Good computer skills, including accurate data entry, database management, and proficiency with common business applications. Strong customer service skills and a demonstrated commitment to providing timely, professional, and solutions-oriented support. Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects, prioritise competing requests, and meet deadlines. Strong problem-solving abilities and sound judgement when responding to customer concerns or resolving operational issues. Ability to follow assignments through to completion with minimal supervision and maintain consistent follow-up. A proactive, adaptable, and collaborative working style, with the ability to build positive relationships across teams and locations. A commitment to accuracy, reliability, ethical conduct, workplace safety, and continuous improvement. Comfort working in a desk-based role that involves extended periods of computer use and phone communication. Benefits: Hourly compensation: $25–$32 per hour, with eligibility for overtime. Healthcare coverage: Medical, dental, and vision insurance. Life insurance: Company-paid life insurance coverage. Retirement savings: A 401(k) plan with employer matching contributions. Paid time off: Paid leave to support rest and personal commitments. Anniversary bonuses: Additional recognition tied to employment anniversaries. Remote work: The position is advertised as remote. Limited travel: Expected travel of approximately 0–5%. Collaborative work culture: An environment that values customer relationships, teamwork, integrity, problem-solving, and professional development.
