Full job description
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Salesforce Health Cloud Business Systems Analyst (BSA) based in Canada. The Salesforce Health Cloud Business Systems Analyst will support a major healthcare implementation project by translating complex clinical and operational needs into effective Salesforce solutions. In this 12-month contract role, you will serve as a key liaison between healthcare stakeholders and technical delivery teams. You will lead requirements gathering, analyze patient management and care coordination workflows, and develop functional specifications that guide system configuration and development. Your expertise in Salesforce Health Cloud data models and healthcare compliance will help ensure solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with business objectives. Working within an Agile environment, you will collaborate with architects, developers, and QA specialists throughout design, testing, and implementation. This opportunity is suited to an experienced analyst who combines healthcare domain knowledge, technical fluency, and strong stakeholder communication skills.
You will lead business analysis activities throughout the Salesforce Health Cloud implementation lifecycle, ensuring that clinical and business requirements are translated into practical, compliant, and well-documented technical solutions. Your responsibilities will include: Stakeholder engagement and requirements gathering: Facilitate interviews, workshops, and discovery sessions with healthcare administrators, clinical teams, and business leaders to identify business needs, document requirements, and align stakeholders. Healthcare workflow analysis: Assess operational workflows, patient management processes, and care coordination models to identify inefficiencies, dependencies, and opportunities for improvement. Process documentation and gap analysis: Document current-state processes, conduct gap analyses, and define future-state workflows and business requirements that support effective Salesforce Health Cloud implementation. Functional specifications and Agile delivery: Translate clinical and business requirements into clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional specifications. Maintain documentation in Jira and collaborate with delivery teams throughout sprint planning, backlog refinement, and backlog grooming. Visual process and solution design: Create process flows, data mapping diagrams, wireframes, and use cases to communicate functional requirements clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Salesforce Health Cloud data modelling: Apply detailed knowledge of the Health Cloud data model, including patient and member profiles, care plans, clinical data structures, and household relationships, to support scalable solution design. Healthcare compliance and data governance: Work with technical teams to ensure declarative configurations and programmatic solutions align with healthcare data governance requirements and applicable HIPAA and protected health information (PHI) handling standards. Testing and user acceptance: Develop test plans, functional test cases, and user acceptance testing (UAT) scenarios. Coordinate testing with end users, document defects, validate fixes, and confirm that delivered solutions meet the original business requirements. Training and adoption: Develop end-user training materials, process guides, and supporting documentation to facilitate adoption and ensure users understand new workflows and system capabilities. Cross-functional coordination: Partner closely with solution architects, developers, QA teams, and business stakeholders to maintain alignment between requirements, technical implementation, and expected business outcomes. Requirements: The ideal candidate is an experienced Salesforce Business Systems Analyst or Functional Consultant with hands-on Health Cloud expertise, a strong understanding of US healthcare operations, and the ability to manage requirements throughout an Agile delivery lifecycle. Candidates should meet the following qualifications: Location and work authorization: Must reside in the United States or Canada and have legal authorization to work without requiring current or future employment visa sponsorship. Professional experience: Five to ten years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst or Functional Consultant within the Salesforce ecosystem. Salesforce Health Cloud expertise: Demonstrated hands-on project experience with Salesforce Health Cloud, including patient management, care coordination, and specialized healthcare data architectures. Requirements analysis: Strong experience gathering and documenting business requirements, mapping processes, conducting gap analyses, and translating stakeholder needs into clear functional specifications. Agile and project management: Extensive experience supporting Agile/Scrum delivery, including sprint planning, backlog management, backlog refinement, and collaboration with technical delivery teams. Documentation tools: Practical experience using Jira and Confluence to manage user stories, acceptance criteria, functional specifications, and project documentation. Healthcare domain knowledge: Direct experience or in-depth familiarity with US healthcare systems, payer and provider workflows, and clinical or administrative processes. Compliance awareness: Strong understanding of HIPAA requirements and appropriate handling of protected health information (PHI). Data modelling and solution design: Ability to understand Salesforce Health Cloud data relationships and collaborate with technical teams on scalable, compliant configurations. Testing and quality assurance: Experience developing test plans and functional test cases, coordinating UAT, managing defects, and validating implemented solutions against business requirements. Communication and facilitation: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to facilitate stakeholder discussions and translate clinical and operational needs into actionable technical requirements. Preferred certifications: Salesforce Certified Administrator or Advanced Administrator; Salesforce Health Cloud Accredited Professional or Consultant; Salesforce Certified Business Analyst. These certifications are desirable but not mandatory. Benefits: Contract duration: 12-month engagement. Workload: Full-time contract, 40 hours per week. Work arrangement: Hybrid or remote, with eligibility based on residence in the United States or Canada. Industry exposure: Opportunity to contribute to a major healthcare implementation involving Salesforce Health Cloud. Cross-functional collaboration: Work with healthcare stakeholders, solution architects, developers, QA specialists, and other technical professionals.
