What You'll Build
The Head of Group & Organizational Controlling (f/m/d) is an executive role within SAP Finance, responsible for overseeing Cash Flow Controlling, Sustainability Controlling, Group Controlling, and Organizational Controlling, including the management of the Controlling Centres of Excellence. This position reports directly to the Chief Controlling Officer of SAP Global Controlling and is based at SAP’s Walldorf headquarter location.
As the Head of Group & Organizational Controlling (f/m/d), you will ensure SAP’s financial integrity and efficiency by developing robust financial controls, managing budgets, and analysing performance across various dimensions. You will deliver actionable insights, drive efficiency through automation, and collaborate closely with teams within Controlling and beyond to enhance reporting and Controlling systems. Your key responsibilities include
- overseeing group financial analyses, forecasting, steering and reporting activities,
- optimizing cash flow processes, steering and providing transparency in SAP's cash flow position,
- managing and reporting on SAP´s ESG performance, integrating sustainability metrics into strategic planning to drive long-term value and compliance with regulations.
- and engaging high-level stakeholders and executive leadership to align SAP´s financial strategies with organizational objectives.
You will play a critical role in the quarterly earnings process, working closely with Corporate Financial Reporting and Investor Relations while preparing and presenting at board meetings, offering strategic insights and decision-making support.
Additionally, you will drive transformation initiatives including AI to enable enhanced Controlling processes and continuously improve reporting and planning through automation and standardization.
Qualifications
What You Bring

10+ years of experience in Finance/Global Controlling, with a strong focus on stakeholder management and strategic leadership.

5+ years in people manager roles as MMT or MMM required.

Proven ability to engage and influence stakeholders across global organizations, including board members and executive teams.

Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.

Exceptional communication and collaboration capabilities, particularly in high-level meetings and decision-making forums.
