QUALITY ASSURANCE What We Do The Quality Assurance team owns the testing process, risk management, and quality evaluation of all products and functions across Epic. Our team works closely with developers and production to ensure the best possible user experience for our community and customers. SDET INTERN What You'll Do Epic Games Art Ops team is looking for a smart, creative Software Development Engineer in Test Intern. Art Ops is the team that builds the tools, pipelines, and Al workflows our artists use for game development and emerging tech every day. This role focuses on testing those internal tools and frameworks; you'll embed with our team of engineers and technical artists to help design and build everything from Cl pipelines, test plans, and integration tests for our web apps to checks that tell us how well our Al tools are performing. In this role, you will Write test plans for new tools and features, then turn them into automated tests Help design and build the test framework our team will use going forward, with our engineers reviewing your code Write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests for our web apps and pipeline tools Test how Al tools and workflows perform when new models are released, and help build ways to measure their performance Support weekly release testing and turn repeated manual checks into automated tests Investigate test failures, determine why a test broke, and share results with the team Use Al-assisted tools to help run, write, and triage tests, and review what they produce What we're looking for Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science or a related field Comfortable writing code in at least one modern OOP language such as Python, C++, or C#, through coursework or personal projects Basic understanding of software testing, such as unit and integration testing Familiarity with a version control system Interest in Al for content and code generation Clear written and verbal communication, with the ability to confidently collaborate with senior team members and take feedback on technical topics and features Willingness to dive into new things and drive them forward A personal project repository or demo portfolio is required Some experience with test frameworks like Jest, Pytest, or Playwright, Cl systems like GitHub Actions, or Al evaluation tools like LangChain or DeepEval is desired Exposure to art tools such as Unreal Engine, Maya, or Houdini, or interest in how artists work is highly desired This internship has a flexible start date in 2027.
