SECIHTI’s 2026 national graduate scholarship supports Mexican and foreign students enrolled in eligible school-based programmes registered in Mexico’s National Graduate System.
Complete scholarship details
For the second 2026 period, ordinary applications for students starting between August and October run through 16 October, while students starting in November and delayed applicants can submit from 3 to 14 November. The scholarship provides a monthly maintenance payment under the 2026 national table plus ISSSTE medical service. Current monthly amounts are MXN 21,397.32 for doctorate, MXN 16,047.99 for master’s or academic exchange, and MXN 14,264.88 for specialty study.
Eligibility requirements
Applicants must be enrolled in an eligible school-based graduate programme registered in the Sistema Nacional de Posgrados. A person who previously received Conahcyt/SECIHTI support must have completed the required conclusion process before registering a new application.
