About ACC Southlands

ACC is part of Christian Education Ministries (CEM), with 17 schools in 5 states, and is also the largest non-government Distance Education provider in Australia.

ACC Southlands is a growing school community located in the beautiful city of Albany. There are approximately 310 students from Kindergarten to Year 12 on-campus with a further 700 students from Pre-primary to Year 12 in our Distance Education cohort. Although we are growing rapidly, we are focused on sustainably stewarding God’s creation and we have a heart that all students will be well known, well loved, and well taught. About the role

Applications are sought from suitably qualified teachers with a passion for supporting students to achieve academic and holistic success. This role is a full-time role working in our secondary school team. HASS experience is desirable but an English teacher with an interest in HASS will also be considered. The applicant should have a passion for coming alongside students so that they are "well known, well loved, and well taught".

The position involves working with children. The appointment of successful applicants will be subject to satisfactory employment screening for identity, rights to work in Australia, and child protection in accordance with CEM policy.

Part-time or full time role to start immediately on negotiation with the successful candidate.

Requirements

About you

  • Be able to display the capacity to improve student learning and wellbeing outcomes.

  • Be able to demonstrate excellent teaching as described by the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers.

  • Be able to receive feedback on your teaching and implement changes.

  • Be able to effectively plan for, collect and analyse educational data, then devise appropriate strategies and interventions to improve student outcomes.

  • Have an active Christian faith, suitable tertiary qualifications and TRBWA accreditation (or be eligible).
