Full job description
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Account Manager, Betting & Gaming based in Canada. This is a senior account management opportunity focused on growing strategic relationships across the betting and gaming sector in North America. You will own a portfolio of clients, balancing retention and expansion targets while becoming a trusted commercial partner to senior stakeholders. The role combines relationship management, consultative selling, commercial negotiation, and data-driven account strategy. You will identify opportunities to expand product adoption, cross-sell additional solutions, and demonstrate measurable value through regular business reviews. Working closely with Customer Success, Sales, Product, and Engineering teams, you will coordinate resources to deliver strong customer outcomes and resolve challenges quickly. Your understanding of digital fraud and risk will help you translate complex solutions into clear business benefits for both technical and non-technical audiences. This is a remote, client-focused environment suited to a proactive account manager who thrives on ownership, commercial growth, and long-term customer relationships.
Own a portfolio of client accounts against defined retention and growth targets, developing account plans to achieve commercial objectives. Manage the commercial relationship throughout the full contract lifecycle, from expansion opportunities through renewal. Lead commercial discussions with clients, communicating platform value and identifying cross-sell and upsell opportunities across multiple solutions. Build strong relationships across customer organizations, including senior stakeholders responsible for budgets and expansion decisions. Monitor client performance metrics to identify opportunities for improved fraud prevention outcomes, stronger adoption, and account growth. Lead regular business reviews that demonstrate delivered value and establish priorities for the next phase of each customer relationship. Coordinate product education, resources, and internal expertise to help customers increase their use and understanding of the platform over time. Respond proactively to customer concerns, coordinating internal resolution and communicating recurring root causes back to relevant teams. Collaborate with Customer Success, Sales, Product, Engineering, and other cross-functional teams to support seamless implementation and ongoing delivery. Maintain accurate account records, forecasts, renewal information, and expansion opportunities in CRM systems. Stay informed about the digital fraud landscape and apply industry knowledge to customer strategies and tailored solutions. Translate complex fraud prevention and technology value propositions into clear commercial benefits for non-technical and non-fraud stakeholders. Requirements: At least 3 years of experience as an Account Manager or in a comparable client-facing commercial role, preferably within a startup or high-growth environment. Proven track record of meeting or exceeding retention and expansion targets across a portfolio of accounts. Demonstrated experience managing and expanding accounts across multiple products or solutions, including identifying and closing cross-sell and upsell opportunities. Experience leading commercial discussions and negotiating expansions and renewals; fraud prevention experience is highly desirable. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the credibility to manage expectations effectively even when customer challenges arise. Strong initiative and confidence in taking ownership of customer interactions, account strategy, and commercial outcomes. Comfortable working with data and interpreting customer performance metrics to develop compelling commercial arguments. Strong CRM discipline and experience maintaining accurate forecasts and account records. Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively across Sales, Customer Success, Product, Engineering, and other teams. Strong understanding or interest in digital fraud, risk, compliance, or related technology markets is an advantage. Ability to explain complex technology and fraud-related concepts in clear, accessible business language. Must be eligible to work in Canada. Benefits: Full-time, permanent opportunity. Fully remote work environment in Canada. Senior commercial ownership of a portfolio within the betting and gaming sector. Opportunity to build long-term relationships with strategic clients and senior decision-makers. Exposure to fraud prevention, AML compliance, digital risk, and rapidly evolving technology markets. Cross-functional collaboration with Sales, Customer Success, Product, and Engineering teams. Opportunity to drive meaningful retention, expansion, cross-sell, and upsell growth. High degree of autonomy and ownership in managing customer relationships and commercial performance. Inclusive environment committed to equal opportunity and supporting diverse backgrounds. Reasonable adjustments available throughout the recruitment process for candidates who require them.
