The company is headquartered in Austin, Texas with employees worldwide. Purpose: The Staff Accountant supports core accounting cycles with a focus on accuracy and timely close execution. This role is responsible for preparing journal entries, maintaining reconciliations, and contributing to the month-end close process under the guidance of senior team members. The position requires strong attention to detail, the ability to meet deadlines, and a willingness to collaborate across departments. Essential Functions & Responsibilities Monthly Close

  • Revenue Accounting: Prepare monthly revenue journal entries and reconciliations in accordance with US GAAP, providing support for the reviewer.
  • Asset Accounting: Prepare monthly prepaid expense journal entries and reconciliations, maintaining accurate amortization schedules
  • Accounting for Accrued Expense: Prepare monthly accrued expense journal entries and reconciliations, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to gather necessary information
  • Issuing Bank & Payment Network Billing: Assist with the coding and processing of monthly issuing bank and payment network billings, ensuring proper GL classification.
  • Other duties as assigned Partner Accounting (rTSA)
  • Monthly Deliverables: Assist in the preparation of select monthly deliverable files required under the Company's rTSA agreement, in coordination with the Lead Accountant Data Retrieval & Analysis
  • Data Retrieval: Extract and organize financial data from accounting systems including Oracle Fusion, Snowflake, and Adaptive/Office Connect to support journal entries and reconciliations
  • Variance Review: Identify and flag account variances and discrepancies for review; assist in researching and resolving differences under direction Process & Controls
  • Documentation: Maintain clear and organized work papers for all assigned close processes
  • Audit Support: Assist in preparing schedules and supporting documentation for external auditors for assigned account areas Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Stakeholder Partnership: Coordinate with Legal, FP&A, FinOps, Treasury, Accounting Operations, Operations, and external partners to gather information necessary for accurate and timely close completion
  • Ad-Hoc Analysis: Support management requests for financial analysis and reporting as needed Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
  • Experience: Minimum 2–4 years of accounting experience.
  • Technical Skills: Working knowledge of US GAAP. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, basic formulas); familiarity with ERP or database systems a plus
  • Organization Skills: Ability to manage assigned tasks and meet close deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Communication: Effective written and verbal communication skills; able to work cross-functionally with FP&A and internal stakeholders
