Full job description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior DevOps and Infrastructure Engineer based in the United States. As a Senior DevOps and Infrastructure Engineer, you will lead infrastructure and DevOps teams responsible for the reliability, scalability, and performance of critical production systems. You will shape engineering practices that support rapid, secure, and dependable software delivery across a globally distributed organization. Combining strategic leadership with hands-on technical expertise, you will optimize CI/CD pipelines, strengthen infrastructure automation, and establish robust Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) standards. You will drive measurable improvements in system availability, deployment quality, and engineering productivity. Working across multiple teams and time zones, you will also recruit, coach, and develop high-performing engineers. This is an opportunity to influence the technical foundations of an AI-driven enterprise platform in a fast-growing, innovation-focused environment.

You will lead DevOps and infrastructure operations, establish engineering standards, and ensure that development, staging, and production environments meet demanding reliability, security, and performance requirements. Lead and develop DevOps and infrastructure teams, providing technical direction, coaching, career development, and support for hiring across regions and time zones. Maintain highly available, scalable, and reliable staging and production environments, targeting 99.9% availability for CI/CD and staging infrastructure and 99.99% product availability. Establish and enforce best practices in DevOps and Site Reliability Engineering, including deployment reliability, operational readiness, monitoring, and incident prevention. Strengthen CI/CD pipelines through automated testing, code reviews, release controls, and deployment validation to eliminate release-related production issues. Accelerate software delivery by reducing CI/CD pipeline execution times, improving environment provisioning, and shortening engineering lead times. Design and implement resilient infrastructure, disaster recovery strategies, and operational procedures that support business continuity. Drive Infrastructure as Code (IaC), deployment automation, and secure development environment practices. Monitor infrastructure performance and reliability using measurable indicators, applying data-driven analysis to guide technical decisions and continuous improvement. Collaborate with engineering and neighboring teams to establish clear agreements, coordinate dependencies, and ensure effective communication between infrastructure teams and the wider organization. Support the development and operation of large-scale cloud applications, ensuring systems can handle high request volumes and distributed workloads. Promote operational excellence, security, and accountability throughout the engineering organization. Requirements: The ideal candidate combines substantial DevOps and SRE expertise with proven engineering leadership, a data-driven mindset, and the ability to build reliable infrastructure for high-traffic, distributed applications. At least 3 years of experience leading teams within a fast-growing, multinational IT organization. At least 5 years of experience in DevOps and Site Reliability Engineering, maintaining distributed products with high requests per second (RPS). Strong hands-on expertise in designing and managing complex CI/CD pipelines, implementing Infrastructure as Code, and executing diverse deployment strategies. Practical experience building, scaling, and maintaining cloud-based applications on AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Demonstrated ability to implement secure development environments and integrate security into infrastructure and delivery workflows. Strong understanding of system availability, scalability, resilience, monitoring, and production reliability. Experience using concrete metrics and performance indicators to assess systems, justify technical decisions, and drive improvements. Proven ability to recruit, mentor, and develop engineers while establishing high standards for technical performance and team effectiveness. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, including the ability to build relationships across teams, manage dependencies, and establish effective working agreements. Ability to operate autonomously, manage competing priorities, and lead technical initiatives in a fast-paced, international environment. Familiarity with the following technology stack is relevant: .NET Core, MongoDB, Vue 2/3, AWS, Kafka, Elasticsearch (ES), GitLab CI, Prometheus, VictoriaMetrics, Jaeger, and Kubernetes (k8s). Benefits: Remote-friendly work environment offering flexibility for eligible roles and locations. Opportunity to collaborate with a globally distributed team spanning more than 30 countries. Exposure to an AI-native organization that encourages innovation, experimentation, and the use of AI agents to improve productivity. Opportunity to shape infrastructure and engineering practices for an AI-powered enterprise platform serving global businesses. Meaningful technical and leadership ownership in a rapidly scaling, post-Series C organization. Collaborative and inclusive culture that values individual perspectives, accountability, and high performance. Opportunities to work across international teams and contribute to impactful engineering initiatives.
