This fully remote opportunity offers significant regional influence, with international travel required to support customers, teams and strategic business priorities.
Develop regional commercial strategy: Define and implement the EMEA commercial roadmap for clinical NGS, including sales positioning, go-to-market strategies and initiatives aligned with revenue, profitability and market expansion objectives. Drive financial performance: Take ownership of revenue, margin, customer satisfaction and market share targets, consistently meeting or exceeding sales and profitability plans. Establish commercial excellence: Build and optimize sales operating mechanisms, including forecasting, pipeline and funnel management, business intelligence, sales training and marketing processes to improve performance and predictability. Build strategic customer relationships: Develop long-term partnerships with key healthcare customers, C-level stakeholders, clinical experts, key opinion leaders and industry influencers to strengthen customer engagement and accelerate adoption. Lead cross-functional collaboration: Partner with regional and global leadership, product management, medical affairs, marketing, finance, customer care, field application specialists, services and supply chain teams to align priorities and support commercial execution. Manage commercial performance: Lead regular business reviews, monitor sales forecasts and market trends, communicate competitive intelligence and coordinate actions needed to achieve sustained year-over-year growth. Oversee pricing and promotional strategies: Establish pricing guidelines, improve pricing visibility and develop product bundling, promotional and discounting strategies that support competitiveness and profitability. Strengthen distributor partnerships: Develop relationships with distribution partners, particularly in emerging markets, and implement strategies to capture additional regional growth opportunities. Lead and develop commercial teams: Recruit, coach, mentor and retain high-performing talent, establishing clear accountability, ownership and consistent best practices across a geographically dispersed organization. Navigate complex regional markets: Adapt commercial strategies to diverse customer needs, local market conditions and country-specific regulatory requirements while maintaining alignment with broader business objectives. Promote leadership excellence: Foster a culture of integrity, accountability, innovation, collaboration and continuous development, strengthening leadership capabilities throughout the organization. Requirements: Senior commercial leadership experience: A proven track record of leading, developing and scaling substantial sales organizations, ideally within a complex, global, matrixed healthcare or life sciences business. Healthcare industry expertise: Several years of commercial experience in healthcare, preferably in clinical molecular diagnostics, next-generation sequencing, pathology laboratories, oncology or molecular biology. Clinical market knowledge: A strong understanding of clinical oncology, translational research and applied clinical markets, including customer needs, purchasing dynamics and adoption drivers. Direct NGS experience is highly desirable. Strategic sales expertise: Demonstrated ability to develop and execute innovative commercial strategies, identify market opportunities and translate business objectives into measurable revenue and profitability growth. Consistent financial performance: A strong record of meeting or exceeding sales targets, improving commercial performance and supporting sustainable, profitable business expansion. Global and matrix leadership: Experience working across international markets and decentralized organizational structures, with the ability to influence stakeholders and align priorities across multiple functions and business divisions. Customer relationship management: Demonstrated success building and maintaining trusted relationships with C-level executives, strategic customers, key opinion leaders, distributors and other influential stakeholders. Commercial operations proficiency: Strong knowledge of sales forecasting, pipeline management, pricing strategy, business intelligence and commercial performance measurement. Data-driven decision-making: Ability to analyze market trends, competitive intelligence, business performance and customer requirements to identify opportunities and guide strategic decisions. Talent development capabilities: Proven experience recruiting, developing, coaching and retaining talent while building accountable, collaborative and high-performing teams. Communication and influencing skills: Excellent written and verbal communication, negotiation, presentation and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence effectively across regional and global teams. Organizational and problem-solving skills: Strong prioritization, analytical thinking and time management abilities, combined with sound judgment and the capacity to navigate complex, rapidly evolving market conditions. Technology proficiency: Familiarity with CRM platforms, sales management tools and business analytics solutions used to monitor commercial performance and support decision-making. International mobility: Willingness and ability to travel internationally up to 50% of the time, including overnight stays, as required to support regional business priorities. Remote working capability: Ability to lead a geographically distributed organization, maintain effective communication across time zones and work independently in a remote environment. Benefits: Remote-first flexibility: Fully remote working arrangement, with the position based in Europe and the ability to work from home. Full-time employment: A full-time senior leadership opportunity with substantial responsibility for regional commercial strategy and business results.
