Full job description
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, which manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Full-Stack Product Engineer | Node.js, AI-Native (Boosters R&D) based in Germany. Join an early-stage product team building an innovative solution in the personal digital security space, where your engineering decisions will directly shape the product's future. As a Senior Full-Stack Product Engineer, you will take ownership of backend development, infrastructure, and high-impact product features from concept to launch. You will work in a lean, autonomous engineering environment with minimal bureaucracy, collaborating closely with the Tech Lead to define architecture and technical direction. The role offers the opportunity to build systems from the ground up, experiment with modern technologies, and contribute to an AI-native engineering environment. You'll leverage Node.js, TypeScript, AWS, and AI-powered development tools to create reliable, scalable solutions. Your work will directly contribute to product growth, user acquisition, retention, and long-term business impact.
Lead the development of product features throughout the entire lifecycle, from ideation and design to implementation, release, and performance analysis. Research market trends, analyze competitors, identify opportunities, and propose innovative features that improve user acquisition, engagement, and retention. Build and maintain robust backend services using Node.js and TypeScript, contributing to frontend development with React or Next.js when needed. Collaborate with the Tech Lead on software architecture, system design, and technical decisions that support product scalability and long-term growth. Design, implement, and evolve cloud infrastructure and engineering solutions, ensuring reliability, performance, security, and maintainability. Help develop an AI-native engineering environment that enables the team to use AI agents and agentic coding tools to build, test, and deploy solutions efficiently and securely. Establish and improve engineering practices, including automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and development workflows. Take ownership of technical initiatives, identify opportunities for improvement, and continuously raise the quality and efficiency of product development. Requirements: At least 4 years of experience in backend engineering or full-stack development with a strong backend focus, ideally within a product-led company. Strong proficiency in Node.js and TypeScript, with hands-on experience building and maintaining production-grade applications. Practical frontend development experience with React or Next.js and TypeScript. Solid knowledge of PostgreSQL, Redis, REST API design, and database performance optimization. Strong understanding of software architecture, system design, and the principles behind building scalable, maintainable systems. Hands-on experience with AWS, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines. Experience writing and maintaining automated unit, integration, and end-to-end tests. Active use of AI-powered development tools and agentic coding workflows, such as Cursor, Claude Code, Codex, or similar solutions. Strong ownership, problem-solving, and analytical skills, with the ability to make independent technical decisions and take responsibility for outcomes. Effective communication and collaboration skills, including the ability to exchange feedback, share technical knowledge, and work closely with cross-functional stakeholders. Experience designing technical architecture, establishing engineering processes, or building infrastructure at an early-stage product company is a strong advantage. A proactive, experimentation-driven mindset and a genuine interest in using AI to improve engineering productivity and product quality. Benefits: Competitive compensation: Salary details are not specified in the provided job description. Career development: Regular performance reviews, an individual Personal Development Plan (PDP), and opportunities to strengthen your professional brand through social media and expert publications. Learning and networking: Access to professional communities, free courses, networking opportunities, and a dedicated budget for training, conferences, and English-language learning. Tools and resources: Company-provided equipment and coverage of the essential services and tools needed for your work. Flexibility and autonomy: Flexible start times between 8:00 and 11:00 AM, with trust-based ownership and minimal micromanagement. Time off: 20 days off per year, public holidays off, and unlimited sick leave. Healthcare and well-being: Medical insurance, reimbursement for psychological support, and an individual sports and fitness benefit. Food and social activities: Breakfast and lunch at the office, plus access to sports and wellness activities, including running, volleyball, in-person yoga, and online stretching and yoga sessions. Modern engineering environment: AWS infrastructure, high-quality development tools, investment in technical services, and opportunities to work on challenging backend, infrastructure, and AI-related initiatives. Meaningful product ownership: The chance to join a product at an early stage, build new systems rather than maintain legacy code, and influence technical decisions and product direction.
