Develop and maintain strong relationships with strategic carriers to improve transportation reliability, service quality, and cost management. Support seed quality assurance activities and work with suppliers to ensure seed production contracts are completed appropriately. Maintain accurate logistics records and prepare operational reports throughout the shipping season and during year-end activities. Serve as a communication liaison between client plants, terminal storage facilities, internal sales and marketing teams, and customers to support efficient and cost-effective product delivery. Promote a strong safety culture by following applicable policies, procedures, and regulations, identifying workplace hazards, and taking appropriate action to address unsafe conditions. Perform additional seed operations and logistics responsibilities as required to support business needs. Requirements: Hold a high school diploma or GED. Have at least 4 years of experience in supply chain, procurement, transportation, logistics, or a related operational field. Demonstrate knowledge of the seed industry and seed quality practices, with an understanding of standard shipping procedures for bulk and packaged seed considered an advantage. Be proficient in Microsoft Office applications and comfortable working with logistics tools, shipment tracking platforms, and ERP systems. Possess strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify operational issues and implement practical solutions. Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with customers, suppliers, carriers, and internal stakeholders. Be detail-oriented, organized, and capable of independently managing competing priorities in a time-sensitive logistics environment. A bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Manufacturing, Logistics, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Statistics, or a related field is preferred. Be willing to complete any applicable pre-employment screening required for the position, which may include drug screening, criminal background checks, motor vehicle checks, physical requirements, or FMCSA Clearinghouse checks, depending on job requirements and industry guidelines. Benefits: Competitive compensation based on experience, education, training, specialized skills, certifications, and applicable local requirements. Potential eligibility for additional earnings through bonuses, incentives, or commissions, depending on the position. Medical, dental, and vision insurance, subject to plan eligibility.
