Full job description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, which manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Manager, Global E2E Product Supply Planning & RCCP based in the United States . Join a global biotechnology environment dedicated to developing innovative therapies and ensuring reliable access to life-changing medicines for patients worldwide. As Senior Manager, Global End-to-End Product Supply Planning & Rough-Cut Capacity Planning (RCCP), you will lead integrated supply planning for complex products across the full product lifecycle, from drug substance and drug product manufacturing to finished goods distribution. You will balance patient needs, inventory, capacity, cost, and operational risks while coordinating global manufacturing networks and external supply partners. Alongside your product supply responsibilities, you will shape and govern RCCP processes across a 0–36-month Integrated Business Planning horizon. Working across supply chain, manufacturing, quality, regulatory, finance, and technology teams, you will translate complex data into actionable decisions. This opportunity combines strategic leadership, digital transformation, and cross-functional influence in a highly regulated, patient-focused industry.

End-to-End Product Supply Strategy: Lead integrated supply planning for assigned complex products and portfolio segments across launch, growth, maturity, and sunset stages. Develop and maintain robust global supply strategies spanning drug substance, drug product, and finished goods, incorporating demand, inventory, capacity, quality, regulatory, financial, lifecycle, and market considerations. Integrated Planning and Execution: Translate product strategies into executable supply plans, ensuring alignment across internal manufacturing sites, contract manufacturing organizations (CMOs), contract development and manufacturing organizations (CDMOs), distribution partners, regions, and markets. Maintain accurate planning assumptions, scenarios, risks, actions, and governance records in SAP IBP and related planning systems. Supply Performance and Inventory Management: Drive shared accountability for product availability, customer service, inventory health, supply continuity, and plan execution. Develop inventory positioning and deployment strategies, establish appropriate targets, and recommend actions to mitigate excess and obsolete inventory while balancing working capital, cost, resilience, and patient supply. Risk Management and Scenario Planning: Identify emerging supply risks, network dependencies, and potential constraints. Lead complex scenario analysis, contingency planning, supply prioritization, and trade-off assessments, translating incomplete or conflicting information into clear recommendations and decision-ready options. Cross-Functional Stakeholder Coordination: Orchestrate planning and execution across manufacturing, network planning, regional supply chain, quality, regulatory affairs, logistics, finance, commercial teams, and external supply partners. Build alignment among stakeholders with competing priorities through influence, collaboration, and shared accountability rather than direct authority. Governance and Executive Communication: Represent global end-to-end product supply planning in relevant Supply Review, S&OP/IBP, Annual Operating Plan (AOP), Long-Range Plan (LRP), launch, lifecycle, and portfolio governance forums. Communicate performance, risks, trade-offs, and strategic recommendations clearly to executive, technical, operational, and external audiences. RCCP Process Ownership: Lead the design, implementation, governance, maintenance, and continuous improvement of RCCP across the 0–36-month Integrated Business Planning horizon. Establish standards, methodologies, planning assumptions, capacity measures, time buckets, tolerance thresholds, scenario frameworks, decision rights, and escalation pathways. Network Capacity Planning Partnership: Work closely with Network Capacity Planning to translate product-level demand, supply, inventory, launch, lifecycle, and risk assumptions into aggregate capacity requirements. Jointly evaluate emerging constraints, capacity opportunities, timing gaps, and mitigation options while maintaining clear ownership boundaries for network capacity plans and longer-term capacity strategy. Digital Planning and Systems Enablement: Own RCCP business-process and functional requirements for SAP IBP and supporting solutions. Collaborate with Digital, Data, Technology, Analytics, and planning teams on system design, configuration, testing, validation, deployment, and enhancements. Establish appropriate controls for data quality, master data, model integrity, assumptions, traceability, and user access. Analytics and Responsible AI: Leverage advanced analytics, business intelligence, and AI-enabled tools to improve scenario development, forecasting insights, and decision support. Validate outputs, protect confidential information, and ensure appropriate human judgment and governance. Training and Change Management: Develop and deliver role-based RCCP training, practical exercises, job aids, facilitator materials, and reference guides. Establish onboarding, coaching, proficiency expectations, and a community of practice while assessing readiness, addressing resistance, and reinforcing sustainable adoption. Continuous Improvement and Capability Development: Maintain RCCP process documentation, governance calendars, templates, controls, standard work, and maturity roadmaps. Measure adoption and process effectiveness, incorporate stakeholder feedback, and continuously improve planning capabilities in response to evolving business needs. Requirements Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Biotechnology, Operations Management, Life Sciences, Business, or a related field. Professional Experience: At least 7 years of relevant experience in product supply planning, supply planning, capacity planning, operations planning, Integrated Business Planning (IBP), or a related supply chain discipline within biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, life sciences, consumer healthcare, or another regulated industry. End-to-End Supply Planning Expertise: Demonstrated experience leading global supply planning for complex products across internal manufacturing sites and external CMOs/CDMOs, with a strong understanding of drug substance, drug product, finished goods, inventory, distribution, and product lifecycle management. RCCP and Capacity Planning: Experience developing, implementing, governing, or significantly improving RCCP or capacity-planning processes within an IBP or Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) environment. Network and Manufacturing Collaboration: Proven ability to partner with Network Capacity Planning, manufacturing operations, site planning, or equivalent capacity-planning functions to evaluate constraints and align product requirements with network capabilities. Planning Systems and Digital Tools: Experience with SAP IBP or an equivalent advanced planning platform, including business requirements, system testing, implementation, configuration, or enhancement activities. Analytical and Financial Acumen: Strong capabilities in scenario analysis, inventory strategy, supply risk assessment, lifecycle planning, capacity evaluation, and data-driven decision support. Ability to synthesize large or conflicting datasets into clear strategic choices. Stakeholder Influence and Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication, executive presentation, facilitation, negotiation, and training skills. Ability to influence senior stakeholders, navigate competing priorities, and drive decisions without relying on direct reporting authority. Change Management: Demonstrated ability to lead process transformation, build stakeholder sponsorship, anticipate resistance, communicate the rationale for change, and reinforce adoption through training and continuous improvement. Leadership and Judgment: Strong enterprise mindset, decision-making ability, accountability, and adaptability in volatile, uncertain, complex, and ambiguous (VUCA) environments. Ability to balance standardized processes with sound business judgment while prioritizing patient and business outcomes. Advanced Analytics and AI: Demonstrated proficiency with AI-enabled tools, advanced analytics, business intelligence, and digital planning technologies. Ability to critically assess AI-generated outputs, validate data and assumptions, protect confidential information, and apply appropriate human oversight. Regulatory Knowledge: Working knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), FDA expectations, and applicable regulatory requirements. Preferred Qualifications: A master's degree, MBA, or other relevant advanced qualification; APICS, CSCP, CPIM, or equivalent professional certification; formal change-management, facilitation, training, or process-improvement certification; and experience with biopharmaceutical product launches, lifecycle transitions, constrained supply networks, external manufacturing, SAP IBP, RCCP, or digital planning transformation initiatives. Benefits Remote work flexibility: Remote working opportunity within the United States, with a preference for candidates able to work in a hybrid arrangement in San Rafael, California. Meaningful mission: The opportunity to contribute to the reliable supply of innovative therapies for patients living with rare and serious diseases. Strategic impact: A key role in shaping global supply strategies, improving capacity planning, and strengthening supply chain resilience across a complex biotechnology portfolio. Professional development: Exposure to global operations, advanced planning systems, digital transformation, analytics, and enterprise-level decision-making. Cross-functional collaboration: The opportunity to work with experienced professionals across manufacturing, supply chain, quality, regulatory, finance, commercial, and technology functions.
