Full job description
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Manager, Site Optimization based in the United States. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced e-commerce and conversion optimization professional to drive digital growth for a globally recognized skincare brand. You will lead the strategy, execution, and analysis of experiments designed to improve conversion rates, increase revenue, and enhance the direct-to-consumer (DTC) shopping experience. From homepage navigation and product detail pages to cart and checkout, you will identify opportunities to reduce friction and make online shopping more intuitive and effective. Combining rigorous experimentation with strong UX judgment, you will translate customer behavior and performance data into measurable business improvements. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams spanning e-commerce, creative, marketing, technology, product development, and regulatory affairs to deliver high-quality digital experiences. The role offers significant ownership over the testing roadmap, with the opportunity to influence broader merchandising decisions and long-term e-commerce strategy. This remote-eligible position is ideal for a detail-oriented, analytical leader who thrives in a collaborative environment and knows how to balance commercial performance with brand integrity and customer trust.
Conversion Optimization Strategy: Develop and execute a structured testing roadmap focused on improving conversion rates, revenue, average order value (AOV), revenue per visitor, customer acquisition, and retention across the entire DTC shopping journey. A/B and Multivariate Testing: Plan, build, launch, and analyze high-impact experiments across desktop and mobile experiences. Test copy, user interface elements, page layouts, product merchandising, promotional offers, navigation, and other components that influence customer behavior. E-commerce Experience Optimization: Evaluate and improve key customer touchpoints, including the homepage, collection pages, product detail pages, routine and regimen builders, cart, and checkout. Identify usability issues and implement data-informed solutions that simplify the shopping experience. Quality Assurance and Launch Management: Ensure that experiments and website changes meet specifications, function correctly, and launch on schedule. Validate links, page layouts, user interactions, and analytics tracking before deployment, identifying and resolving bugs or measurement gaps before they affect customers. Performance Analytics and Reporting: Build and maintain clear performance reports that combine key metrics, including conversion rate, average order value, revenue per visitor, new-customer acquisition, and retention indicators. Share findings with e-commerce leadership and translate results into actionable recommendations. Experimentation Insights and Documentation: Document test hypotheses, methodologies, outcomes, and key learnings. Maintain a centralized knowledge base that helps teams make informed decisions, avoid repeating unsuccessful experiments, and incorporate proven insights into broader DTC strategies. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with e-commerce, creative, brand, performance marketing, CRM, product development, technology, and regulatory teams to gather requirements, coordinate assets, finalize content, and deliver successful launches. Execution and Project Ownership: Manage multiple optimization initiatives simultaneously, coordinate dependencies, resolve bottlenecks, and maintain momentum across the testing roadmap. Serve as a go-to resource for understanding customer shopping behavior and identifying opportunities for improvement. Brand and Regulatory Alignment: Balance conversion objectives with brand standards, merchandising priorities, promotional profitability, and approved product claims. Ensure that experiments and website updates respect applicable compliance requirements without compromising customer experience. Continuous Improvement and Strategic Influence: Identify performance trends, evaluate emerging opportunities, and recommend changes that improve the overall digital shopping experience. Use experimentation results to inform decisions across creative development, merchandising, customer engagement, and e-commerce strategy. Success Measurement: Maintain high on-time launch rates, minimize post-launch defects, improve campaign and website performance, and ensure that testing insights lead to measurable commercial results. Build strong relationships with stakeholders by delivering reliable execution and actionable recommendations. Requirements Professional Experience: At least 8 years of experience in e-commerce, performance marketing, conversion rate optimization (CRO), or a related discipline, with demonstrated ownership of testing strategy, execution, quality assurance, and performance analysis. DTC E-commerce Expertise: Proven experience optimizing direct-to-consumer e-commerce experiences, ideally within beauty, skincare, personal care, wellness, or consumer goods. Familiarity with high-consideration purchasing journeys in which product education and customer trust influence conversion is particularly valuable. Experimentation and Testing: Hands-on experience designing, launching, and evaluating A/B and multivariate tests. Strong understanding of hypothesis development, experimental methodology, statistical rigor, and the interpretation of results. Testing Platforms and CMS Tools: Experience working directly with experimentation platforms such as Optimizely, VWO, or AB Tasty, as well as e-commerce platforms or content management systems. Ability to update copy, layouts, and page flows and validate implementations before launch. Analytics Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of Google Analytics 4 (GA4) and the ability to measure digital performance accurately. Experience with business intelligence and visualization tools such as Looker, Tableau, or similar platforms is an advantage. User Experience Judgment: Ability to recognize friction points in the shopping journey and recommend practical improvements grounded in customer behavior, usability principles, and performance data. Data-Driven Decision-Making: Strong analytical skills and the ability to connect multiple performance indicators, interpret trends, and communicate findings in a clear, actionable format. Quality Assurance and Attention to Detail: A systematic approach to reviewing digital experiences, validating tracking events, identifying errors, and ensuring that launches meet defined specifications. Commercial Awareness: Ability to balance conversion and revenue goals with brand experience, promotional margins, customer acquisition, retention, and compliance with approved product claims. Project and Process Management: Excellent organizational skills, strong follow-through, and the ability to manage multiple experiments and launches in parallel while maintaining quality and meeting deadlines. Communication and Collaboration: Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across creative, brand, marketing, technology, regulatory, and senior leadership teams. Ownership and Adaptability: A proactive, execution-focused mindset, with the confidence to make recommendations, resolve obstacles, adjust priorities, and continuously seek better ways to improve performance. Remote Collaboration: Ability to work effectively in a remote environment and collaborate with stakeholders across North America and Europe, with occasional coordination across Asia. Availability aligned with Eastern Time is preferred. Benefits Competitive Salary: Approximate annual base salary range of $125,000–$135,000 , depending on experience, skills, education, geographic location, and prevailing market conditions. Performance-Based Incentives: Eligibility to participate in a discretionary company bonus plan, subject to applicable terms. Remote Work Flexibility: Remote-eligible position within the United States, with the ability to collaborate with a globally distributed team. Support for Eastern Time working hours is preferred. Comprehensive Healthcare: Medical, dental, and vision insurance. Retirement Benefits: Access to a retirement savings plan and related benefits. Flexible Spending Account: Access to a flexible spending account to help manage eligible expenses. Generous Paid Time Off: Paid leave designed to support rest, personal commitments, and work-life balance, including opportunities to volunteer.
