You will bring deep expertise in ASC 606 and software-as-a-service (SaaS) revenue accounting to evolving commercial models and strategic transactions. Beyond interpreting existing policies, you will help develop and refine revenue recognition approaches that support business growth and scalability. This highly visible role offers the opportunity to partner with senior stakeholders, improve accounting processes, and explore automation and AI-enabled workflows in a fast-moving technology environment.
Evaluate the revenue accounting implications of new products, pricing and packaging changes, partner and channel arrangements, strategic transactions, and go-to-market initiatives. Prepare technical accounting memoranda, position papers, and supporting documentation to communicate conclusions and establish clear accounting positions. Advise stakeholders across Sales, Deal Desk, Legal, FP&A, Pricing and Packaging, Product, and go-to-market leadership on the revenue recognition implications of commercial strategies, contract structures, and new offerings. Engage proactively in business initiatives to incorporate revenue accounting considerations early in decision-making and help shape commercially effective outcomes. Serve as a subject matter expert on ASC 606 for software and SaaS arrangements, including variable consideration, contract modifications, and material right assessments. Review contract documentation and accounting analyses to ensure revenue recognition complies with ASC 606. Support accounting systems and process improvement initiatives, with an emphasis on scalability, automation, and AI-enabled workflows that support continued growth. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Accounting; CPA or CA qualification is preferred. At least seven years of relevant experience in a similar technical revenue accounting role, ideally within a publicly traded, high-growth SaaS or technology company. Big Four accounting or advisory experience. Deep knowledge of ASC 606 and technical revenue accounting, including complex contract structures, variable consideration, and accounting policy interpretation in evolving commercial environments. Strong business acumen and the ability to assess the accounting implications of new products, pricing approaches, and sophisticated commercial agreements. Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to translate complex technical and operational matters into clear, actionable recommendations. Strong independent judgment and decision-making skills in fast-paced, changing environments. A proactive, self-motivated, and adaptable approach, with the ability to manage deadlines, prioritize competing demands, and drive projects through to completion. Excellent time management and organizational skills. Benefits: Competitive compensation based on factors such as experience, education, and location. Full benefits package. Paid time off (PTO). Fully remote work arrangement within the United States. Full-time W-2 contract employment. Opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams and influence technical accounting policy, commercial strategy, and scalable business processes.
