Full job description

Ready to make connectivity from space universally accessible, secure and actionable? Then you’ve come to the right place!

E-Space is bridging Earth and space to enable hyper-scaled deployments of Internet of Things (IoT) solutions and services. We are building a highly-advanced low Earth orbit (LEO) space system that will fundamentally change the design, economics, manufacturing and service delivery associated with traditional satellite and terrestrial IoT systems.

We’re intentional, we’re unapologetically curious and we’re 100% committed to innovate space-based communications and deliver actionable intelligence that will expand global economies, protect space and our planet and enhance our overall quality of life.

What is the role:

As a Mechanical Engineer at E-Space you will design and manufacture satellite structures and mechanisms. We are big on hardware ownership, so you will not only be a critical part of the engineering design effort, but you will also have critical involvement throughout the satellite build.

This position will report to the VP, Satellite Platform and will work closely with the broader engineering team. This role is based in our Saratoga, CA office.

Develop build documents and drawings for your hardware

Define, build and test your designs from 3D printed engineering units to flight hardware

6 to 8 years of hands-on experience using your CAD skills to develop and build models and drawings

Successfully implemented your design solutions in a complex environment

Experience with mechanical design to survive extreme environments and challenging mass constraints

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mechanical, Aerospace or equivalent real-world design and build experience

Experience working on complex satellite/space systems

This is a fast-paced, high-impact environment - flexibility to occasionally work extended hours or weekends during critical periods is expected.
