This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Multi-Line Coverage & Litigation Specialist | National Accounts based in the United States. This is a senior claims role focused on complex, high-exposure, and heavily litigated liability matters within a national accounts environment. You will lead investigations, coverage analysis, litigation strategy, negotiations, and claim resolution across sophisticated multi-line exposures. The position places particular emphasis on Workers’ Compensation Employers Liability, contractual risk transfer, complex coverage issues, and catastrophic losses. You will work closely with defense counsel, clients, excess and reinsurance carriers, experts, and other stakeholders to drive effective outcomes. The role requires strong technical judgment, advanced negotiation capabilities, and the confidence to independently manage high-stakes claims. You will also contribute as a technical resource and mentor while maintaining rigorous standards for documentation, financial accuracy, and client service. Investigate, evaluate, and manage complex, high-exposure multi-line claims in accordance with applicable laws, client instructions, and established claims standards. Lead strategy for heavily litigated claims and work closely with defense counsel to drive effective resolution. Conduct detailed coverage analysis, including interpretation and application of policy provisions. Analyze and apply contractual risk transfer provisions, including indemnity and additional insured requirements. Establish and manage significant reserves while continuously evaluating exposure and reserve strategy. Direct and oversee defense counsel, expert witnesses, and vendors to ensure claims progress effectively. Negotiate high-value settlements in alignment with legal strategy, client expectations, and delegated authority. Review and approve complex legal, medical, and damage-related invoices for accuracy, relevance, and appropriateness. Provide clear, strategic reporting to clients covering claim status, exposure, risks, and resolution strategies. Coordinate with excess and reinsurance carriers on reporting and large-loss claim management. Identify and pursue appropriate subrogation opportunities. Maintain comprehensive, accurate, and defensible claim documentation. Serve as a technical resource and mentor for less experienced claims professionals when needed. Ensure compliance with claims-handling standards, regulatory requirements, and client service commitments. Demonstrate ownership, sound judgment, and financial discipline across complex claim decisions. Requirements: 8+ years of multi-line claims handling experience. At least 5 years managing complex, high-exposure, and heavily litigated liability claims. Strong expertise in litigation management, defense counsel oversight, and strategic claim resolution. Advanced knowledge of Workers’ Compensation Employers Liability (WCEL), complex liability coverage, contractual risk transfer, indemnity, additional insured provisions, and umbrella/excess liability exposures. Exceptional analytical, negotiation, decision-making, and problem-solving skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to interact effectively with executive-level clients. Demonstrated ability to independently manage highly complex claims with minimal supervision. Current adjuster license in the home state; multiple state licenses are strongly preferred. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications. Strong legal knowledge or background is preferred. Prior third-party administrator experience supporting national accounts is a plus. Experience with construction defect, construction liability, general liability, large commercial trucking losses, or CROP claims is advantageous. CPCU, AIC, ARM, or similar industry designations are preferred but not required. New York and Hawaii adjuster licenses are a plus. Strong ownership, integrity, attention to detail, and commitment to high-quality claims outcomes. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. Benefits: $95,000–$115,000 salary range, with actual compensation based on qualifications, experience, geographic location, and internal equity. Potential eligibility for bonuses or additional compensation.
