Shape policy and governance work across Victoria's justice system.Provide advice on issues that affect justice services and decision-making.Work closely with senior leaders and justice system partners.Build your policy skills while helping improve how the justice system works.Fixed term, full-time role earning $116,413 - $140,849 per year, plus super.What you will doAs Senior Policy Officer, you will provide clear policy and governance advice across the Attorney-General's portfolio.You will help develop policy, support key justice bodies and prepare advice and documents for senior decision-makers.You will:prepare complex cabinet, parliamentary and ministerial documents and correspondencedevelop and implement practical policy proposals, programs and initiatives across the Attorney-General's portfolioprovide clear and informed advice on policy, performance and justice system reform issueswork with justice system partners to deliver effective policy and reform projectsbuild and maintain strong working relationships while supporting a positive and inclusive team.About youA relevant tertiary qualification is highly desirable. You should also have knowledge of policy development, implementation or law.You should also have:sound knowledge of Victorian Government processes and policy developmentexperience in governance, financial reporting or performance reportingstrong policy skills, with the ability to develop clear options and recommendationsthe ability to assess complex issues, build support for ideas and provide clear advice.To learn even more about this role, please read the position description.
