Full job description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, which manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Procurement Business Optimization Specialist – PPA based in the United States. We are seeking an experienced Senior Procurement Business Optimization Specialist to drive process excellence, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement across a large-scale procurement organization in the food and beverage manufacturing sector. In this remote role, you will optimize procurement processes, systems, analytics, and business support services to strengthen performance and enable strategic business priorities. You will collaborate with procurement teams, IT, Business Services, and cross-functional stakeholders to identify improvement opportunities, streamline workflows, and implement scalable solutions. Your work will span direct materials, indirect procurement, contract manufacturing, supplier management, and procurement operations. You will also contribute to governance, compliance, reporting, and change management initiatives that improve decision-making and user experience. This opportunity is ideal for a proactive professional who combines analytical thinking, project leadership, and stakeholder influence to deliver measurable business improvements.

Lead the execution, optimization, and continuous improvement of procurement business processes, systems, and operational support activities. Manage key procurement programs and initiatives coordinated through Business Services, providing subject matter expertise on procurement processes, systems, and related operational activities. Partner with procurement, IT, and business stakeholders to identify and implement opportunities for process optimization, automation, standardization, and compliance enhancement. Lead or support cross-functional projects, system enhancements, acquisitions, integrations, and other strategic procurement initiatives. Support procurement activities across direct materials, indirect procurement—including S&IM, PFME, and CAPEX—contract manufacturing, supplier management, and procurement operations. Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, key performance indicators (KPIs), and actionable business insights to support performance monitoring and informed decision-making. Identify operational challenges, assess root causes, and develop scalable solutions that improve efficiency, consistency, and service delivery. Support procurement governance and compliance initiatives, ensuring processes are standardized and aligned with organizational requirements. Drive stakeholder engagement, training, and change management activities to encourage adoption of new processes, systems, tools, and ways of working. Coordinate multiple priorities and deliverables, overcoming obstacles and maintaining progress across complex, cross-functional initiatives. Identify opportunities to improve the user experience and strengthen the overall effectiveness of procurement operations. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Business, Procurement, Supply Chain, Finance, Operations Management, Information Systems, or a related discipline. Demonstrated experience leading projects, coordinating cross-functional teams, and delivering process improvement or change management initiatives. Strong understanding of business operations, process optimization, and performance improvement, ideally within procurement, supply chain, or a related function. Proven ability to manage complex, multifunctional projects, overcome execution challenges, and deliver results against competing priorities. Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams, and Copilot. Experience with SAP and business reporting tools is preferred. Familiarity with Power BI, Power Apps, and Power Automate is an advantage. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and translate findings into practical business recommendations. Excellent stakeholder management and collaboration skills, including the ability to influence others and drive change without direct authority. Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex information clearly to different audiences. Self-motivated and adaptable, with the ability to work independently, navigate ambiguity, and take ownership of problem resolution. Excellent organizational and project management skills, including the ability to plan work, manage multiple initiatives, and maintain attention to detail. A continuous improvement mindset and a customer-focused approach to process design and operational support. Willingness to work beyond standard scheduled hours when required and travel occasionally for business needs. Must reside in the United States. Benefits: Compensation: Up to $36.50 per hour, plus overtime. Work arrangement: Remote, for U.S.-based candidates. Initial contract duration: Eight months, with the position expected to continue longer. Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time. Travel: Up to 5%. Healthcare coverage: Medical insurance. Dental coverage: Dental insurance. Vision coverage: Vision insurance. Retirement: 401(k) plan. Financial protection: Disability insurance. Professional development: Opportunity to contribute to enterprise-wide procurement optimization, systems improvement, and strategic cross-functional initiatives.
