Full job description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Product Analyst – Credit Products based in India. We are looking for an experienced, data-driven analyst to help shape credit product strategy and support smarter lending decisions for small and medium-sized businesses. In this role, you will transform complex financial and product data into actionable insights that improve product performance and inform credit risk management. Working closely with credit product managers, developers, and senior stakeholders, you will help identify opportunities for growth while maintaining a balanced approach to risk. You will use advanced SQL and analytical techniques to uncover trends, monitor key performance indicators, and recommend evidence-based improvements. This position offers significant autonomy, a fast-paced fintech environment, and the opportunity to influence the evolution of digital credit products. If you enjoy solving complex analytical problems and turning data into measurable business impact, this role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the future of SME lending.

Analyze complex datasets to evaluate credit product performance, identify trends, uncover opportunities, and deliver actionable business recommendations. Monitor and interpret credit risk key performance indicators (KPIs), identifying emerging risks and recommending strategies to mitigate them while supporting sustainable business growth. Partner with credit product managers and developers to guide the design, development, and optimization of credit products using data-driven insights. Investigate lending performance and customer behavior to support informed decisions on product strategy, risk management, and business priorities. Prepare clear, comprehensive reports, dashboards, and presentations that communicate findings and recommendations to senior management and relevant stakeholders. Translate analytical findings into practical recommendations that balance credit risk, product performance, and commercial objectives. Work independently to identify analytical opportunities, investigate complex questions, and resolve ambiguous business challenges. Continuously improve analytical methodologies, reporting processes, and approaches to credit product evaluation. Stay informed about developments in fintech, credit analytics, lending products, and data analysis tools to identify opportunities for innovation. Requirements: At least 4 years of experience as a credit-focused analyst, data analyst, or data scientist within a fintech company or banking environment. Expert-level SQL skills, including the ability to navigate complex data warehouse structures, understand relationships across datasets, and extract meaningful insights. Practical experience analyzing credit products, lending performance, or credit risk data. Experience monitoring credit risk KPIs and developing or recommending strategies to mitigate risk while supporting business growth. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and translate findings into clear, actionable recommendations. A self-starter mindset, with the ability to take initiative, work independently, and manage analytical projects with limited supervision. Comfort working in a fast-paced environment with ambiguity, changing priorities, and competing business objectives. Strong communication skills, including the ability to explain technical findings and analytical recommendations to product teams and non-technical stakeholders. A collaborative approach and the ability to work effectively with product managers, developers, and other cross-functional partners. Benefits: Competitive salary: Compensation aligned with the role and the candidate's experience. Flexible working arrangements: Hybrid work options and the ability to work remotely from home or elsewhere within your home country, subject to the applicable policy. International work flexibility: The opportunity to work from another country for up to 90 days per year, in accordance with company policy. Health and well-being: Health insurance with a focus on physical and mental well-being, alongside access to an Employee Assistance Programme. Paid leave: 12 casual leave days and 15 privilege leave days. Learning and development: An annual professional learning and development budget to support continued growth. Office facilities: Access to a spacious office in Hyderabad's HITEC City area, with snacks available throughout the day. Paid volunteering: 24 hours of paid volunteering leave annually. Sabbatical leave: Access to sabbatical leave, subject to the applicable policy. Collaborative culture: Work in an inclusive environment that values teamwork, transparency, diverse perspectives, and knowledge sharing.
