This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Product Manager - Social Experience based in Canada. We are looking for a product leader with exceptional interaction design skills to shape engaging social experiences within a global digital finance platform. In this role, you will bring investing and trading communities closer together through intuitive, meaningful, and trustworthy user journeys. You will combine product strategy, UX design, behavioral psychology, and data-driven experimentation to turn complex ideas into seamless experiences. From discovery and interactive prototyping to implementation and post-launch optimization, you will own the product lifecycle end to end. You will collaborate closely with designers, engineers, researchers, and data specialists in a remote-first, international environment. This is an opportunity to influence how people connect, share insights, and participate in the evolving world of digital assets and open finance.
Social Product Strategy: Define and own the product direction for social investing and trading experiences, identifying customer needs and prioritizing opportunities that create meaningful value for users. End-to-End User Journeys: Design connected experiences covering user discovery, following, content sharing, trading insights, responses, and repeat engagement. Interaction Design: Shape navigation, information architecture, microcopy, default settings, gestures, and feedback mechanisms to create intuitive and accessible experiences. Prototyping and Validation: Build interactive prototypes to explore alternative solutions, test assumptions, and communicate intended behavior to engineering teams before development begins. Behavioral Insights: Apply principles of behavioral psychology to understand participation, trust, reputation, recognition, and sharing behaviors, translating insights into effective product decisions. User Research and Usability Testing: Conduct usability sessions, observe user behavior, identify friction points, and combine qualitative research with funnel and cohort data to improve the experience. Experimentation and Analytics: Define success metrics for product changes, collaborate with data science teams on experiments, and evaluate outcomes such as task completion, abandonment, first follows, contributions, responses, and retention. Product Delivery: Establish an achievable initial scope, prioritize features, resolve trade-offs with engineering, define acceptance criteria, and ensure the delivered experience meets the intended design standards. Continuous Improvement: Analyze post-launch performance and user feedback to identify opportunities for iteration, improve engagement, and balance the needs of content contributors with those of their audiences. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product, design, engineering, and data teams to maintain alignment between user needs, technical feasibility, business priorities, and long-term product goals. Requirements Product Management Experience: Demonstrated experience as a Product Manager or in a similar product leadership role, with a track record of designing and launching consumer-facing social experiences. Relevant Portfolio: Examples of work involving feeds, profiles, sharing, messaging, discovery, online communities, or comparable social features, including evidence of how the product evolved after launch. Interaction Design Expertise: Strong understanding of user flows, navigation, information hierarchy, interaction patterns, and usability principles, with the ability to explain and defend design decisions. Prototyping Skills: Proficiency in creating realistic, interactive prototypes using Figma, code, AI-powered tools, or a combination of these approaches. Ability to represent transitions, empty states, loading behavior, and error scenarios. User-Centered Product Development: Experience conducting user research and usability testing, challenging assumptions with evidence, and translating findings into actionable product improvements. Data-Driven Decision-Making: Ability to prioritize opportunities, define measurable success criteria, interpret funnel and cohort data, and evaluate whether experiments produce meaningful improvements. Product Delivery and Execution: Experience taking products or features from discovery through launch, collaborating with engineering teams, managing trade-offs, and maintaining a high standard of implementation quality. Understanding of Social Behavior: Knowledge of the factors that influence user participation, trust, reputation, visibility, and engagement within digital communities. Financial Product Awareness: Ability to understand the specific considerations involved in social investing and trading, including credibility, incentives, financial privacy, and users' willingness to share investment-related activity. Communication and Collaboration: Strong communication, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams in a remote environment. Adaptability and Ownership: A proactive mindset, sound product judgment, and a willingness to challenge assumptions, test new approaches, and take responsibility for outcomes. Benefits Remote Work: Fully remote position available in Canada and other eligible international locations. International Environment: Opportunity to collaborate with talented professionals across different countries and backgrounds. Meaningful Product Impact: Help shape social experiences within a global digital asset and financial technology ecosystem. Professional Growth: Work on complex consumer products that combine social interaction, financial behavior, UX design, and experimentation. Autonomy and Ownership: Take responsibility for product decisions, design direction, prioritization, and measurable outcomes. Inclusive Culture: Join an organization that values diverse perspectives and evaluates candidates based on relevant skills, knowledge, and experience. Skills-Based Hiring: Participate in a recruitment process that may include job-related skills or work-style assessments alongside interviews and professional experience. Compensation: Salary and any additional compensation or benefits will be determined according to the applicable employment arrangements.
