About Nscale

Full job description

About Nscale Nscale is the vertically integrated AI cloud engineered for AI. We own and operate the full stack — energy, data centres, GPU superclusters, orchestration, and AI services — delivering high-performance infrastructure to AI-native companies, enterprises, and governments across Europe and the US. We are deploying GPU capacity at hyperscale, operating some of the densest, most advanced AI infrastructure in the world. At Nscale, our Deployment team plays a critical role in bringing new AI data center capacity online safely, on schedule, and to spec. We thrive on a culture of relentless innovation, ownership, and accountability, where every team member takes pride in their work and drives it with excellence and urgency. As an Nscaler, you'll build trust through openness and transparency, where everyone is inspired to do their best work. If you join our team, you'll be contributing to building the technology that powers the future. About the Role We're looking for a Senior Project Manager to lead delivery of low-voltage scopes across Nscale's AI data center deployments. You'll own assigned projects from kickoff through turnover, managing schedule, budget, vendors, quality, and stakeholder alignment. You'll work closely with Project Managers, Low Voltage Deployment Engineers, Construction, Network Infrastructure, and Commissioning to deliver on time, on budget, and to spec. This is a hands-on delivery role. You'll spend your time running projects, managing contractors, clearing blockers in the field, and keeping partner teams and leadership clearly informed. This is a remote role based in the United States, with approximately 30–40% travel for site kickoffs, critical milestones, and field oversight. Experience required: 7+ years of project management experience, including 3+ years delivering data center, mission-critical, telecom, or low-voltage construction projects. What You'll be Doing

  • Own the full lifecycle of assigned low-voltage projects, including scope definition, baseline schedule, budget, execution, and closeout.
  • Build and maintain integrated project schedules, tracking milestones, critical path, dependencies, and look-ahead plans.
  • Manage project budgets and forecasts, including cost tracking, change orders, and invoice validation.
  • Maintain risk and issue registers, drive mitigation plans, and escalate early when schedule, cost, or quality is at risk.
  • Run multiple concurrent projects across sites and regions with clear ownership and accountability.
  • Manage low-voltage contractors and integrators through scope review, bid leveling support, onboarding, mobilization, and daily execution.
  • Hold vendors accountable to scope, schedule, safety, workmanship, and documentation requirements, and share performance insights with Procurement and Supply Chain on sourcing, material lead times, and vendor selection.
  • Lead site kickoffs, walkdowns, and regular coordination meetings with field teams and contractors.
  • Oversee delivery of structured cabling (copper and fiber), high-density fiber and MPO trunking, labeling, and related low-voltage systems, and work with the General Contractor on cable pathways (tray and ladder rack).
  • Manage RFIs, submittals, QA/QC inspections, test and certification results, punch lists, and as-built documentation.
  • Ensure clean turnover to Commissioning and Operations with complete, accurate closeout packages.
  • Promote a strong safety culture and ensure contractors comply with site safety requirements.
  • Coordinate handoffs and dependencies with Construction, Network Infrastructure, AI Infrastructure Deployment, Engineering, Commissioning, Supply Chain, and Procurement.
  • Facilitate project meetings that turn discussions into clear decisions, owners, and due dates.
  • Partner with Principal Low Voltage Deployment Engineers to align plans with design intent and field realities.
  • Provide clear, accurate weekly reporting on project status, milestones, cost, risks, and decisions using the team's standard tools and KPIs, keeping Jira and team trackers current and reliable.
  • Capture lessons learned and contribute improvements to templates, processes, and tooling as the organization scales. About You
  • Experience. 7+ years of project management experience, including 3+ years delivering data center, mission-critical, telecom, or low-voltage construction projects.
  • Delivery ownership. Proven ownership of project schedules, budgets, change orders, and subcontractor performance. You take full accountability for outcomes and see projects through to closeout.
  • Low-voltage expertise. Working knowledge of structured cabling and fiber systems, including installation, testing, and certification practices.
  • Technical fluency. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and scopes of work.
  • Tools. Experience with scheduling and project tools such as Smartsheet, MS Project, or Primavera P6, plus Jira or similar tracking tools.
  • Field-ready problem solving. You're comfortable on site and solve problems quickly with contractors and field teams.
  • Organization and judgment. You keep plans, budgets, and documentation accurate as conditions change, and you make sound decisions in fast-moving, ambiguous environments.
  • Communication. You give concise, honest updates to field teams, engineers, vendors, and senior stakeholders, and you raise risks before they become surprises.
  • Collaboration. You build trust with engineers, construction leads, vendors, and partner teams. Nice to Have
  • Experience on hyperscale, cloud, HPC, or AI infrastructure deployments.
  • BICSI certification (e.g., RCDD) and familiarity with TIA-568 and TIA-942 standards.
  • Experience managing projects across multiple sites or regions simultaneously. Why this role matters Every GPU cluster Nscale brings online depends on the low-voltage infrastructure underneath it. In this role, you'll directly shape how quickly and reliably we deliver AI capacity to our customers. You'll also help build the processes, standards, and vendor relationships that let us scale deployments across sites and regions. What We Can Offer You At Nscale, you'll find a collaborative, supportive, and innovative environment where your contributions spark real impact. • Expect a dynamic progression plan tailored to your ambitions. Grow by trying new things, leading, challenging the status quo, and owning your impact, always with our full support.
  • Human-first flexibility. We treat you as humans first. Our flexible workplace trusts Nscalers to deliver, giving you the autonomy to shape your day around life's moments.
  • Join our thriving remote-first team. Geography is no barrier to impact or connection. We build seamless virtual collaboration, empowering you wherever you work.
