Full job description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Publisher Partnerships Manager based in the United States. The Senior Publisher Partnerships Manager will drive publisher acquisition and revenue growth across the US East Coast, focusing on independent premium publishers, mid-market media companies, and niche digital brands. This senior commercial role combines strategic prospecting, executive-level sales, and partnership development to help publishers unlock greater value from their digital advertising inventory. You will leverage an established industry network to identify high-potential accounts, build compelling monetization business cases, and negotiate exclusive, long-term partnerships. Working closely with Account Management, Ad Operations, Product, and leadership teams, you will ensure new partnerships transition smoothly into successful revenue-generating relationships. You will also contribute to shaping the North American go-to-market strategy, sharing market intelligence, and refining the approach to competing with established monetization providers. This fully remote opportunity is ideal for an entrepreneurial sales leader who thrives in a fast-moving ad tech environment and wants to help build a growing North American business.

Strategic prospecting: Identify and target high-potential independent premium publishers, Tier 2 media companies, regional outlets, vertical publications, niche media, and digital-first brands across the Northeast, Southeast, and Midwest. Network activation: Leverage established relationships with publisher owners, founders, CEOs, CROs, and revenue leaders to generate qualified opportunities and build a strong new-business pipeline. Account qualification: Evaluate publisher traffic quality, advertising technology infrastructure, current monetization arrangements, and revenue potential using tools such as SimilarWeb, BuiltWith, and ad stack analyzers. Pipeline and revenue ownership: Develop and maintain a predictable sales pipeline, manage forecasts, and execute against ambitious revenue targets. Executive-level selling: Build credibility with senior decision-makers and position monetization solutions as strategic partnerships that deliver measurable business value. Commercial business cases: Explain complex programmatic advertising concepts—including header bidding, consent management, Core Web Vitals, and yield optimization—in clear commercial terms, demonstrating potential revenue and RPM improvements. Partnership negotiation: Lead negotiations for exclusive, long-term publisher monetization agreements, emphasizing value creation and revenue growth while coordinating contractual terms with Legal. Partner onboarding: Coordinate effective handoffs to Account Management and Ad Operations teams to accelerate implementation, time to revenue, and partner success. Market intelligence: Gather and share insights on US publisher requirements, customer objections, competitive dynamics, state privacy regulations, the Global Privacy Platform (GPP), and adoption trends in CTV and video. Competitive positioning: Monitor and understand competing managed-service and monetization providers, including Mediavine, Raptive, Ezoic, Freestar, and Playwire, and develop persuasive strategies to win publisher partnerships from established providers. Go-to-market development: Help shape the US sales playbook, refine market positioning, share best practices with colleagues across regions, and contribute to the expansion of the North American publisher business. Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with Product and leadership teams to translate market feedback into improved positioning, product priorities, and commercial strategies. Continuous improvement: Use data, AI-powered tools, and practical experimentation to improve prospect research, sales preparation, outreach, and overall commercial effectiveness. Requirements: At least 10 years of experience in ad tech or digital media sales on the publisher side, with a demonstrated track record of winning and growing publisher partnerships in the United States. An established network within the US Tier 2 publisher market, including independent premium publishers, mid-market media businesses, vertical publications, and niche digital media, with direct relationships with key decision-makers. Proven experience selling exclusive or managed-service monetization solutions, beyond standard non-exclusive supply-side platform (SSP) integrations. Strong executive presence, commercial judgment, and negotiation skills, with the ability to build trust with publisher owners and C-level stakeholders and close complex, long-term agreements. A strong hunter mentality, including the ability to open new accounts, overcome objections, independently manage complex sales cycles, and consistently pursue new business. Based in the New York area, with a willingness to travel to meet publishers and develop strategic relationships. Solid understanding of programmatic advertising mechanics, including header bidding, SSPs, ad servers, yield optimization, and consent management. Familiarity with the Global Privacy Platform (GPP) and US state privacy laws affecting digital advertising. Strong analytical skills and the ability to develop data-backed business cases using RPM improvements, traffic analysis, yield comparisons, and monetization performance data. Experience in a high-growth ad tech company or market-launch environment, ideally involving the development of a new business pipeline rather than managing an inherited portfolio. Comfortable using AI tools in day-to-day sales activities, including prospect research, preparation, and workflow optimization. Preferred Qualifications: Experience selling video monetization or consent management platform (CMP) solutions as part of a broader advertising technology offering. Knowledge of US connected TV (CTV) and in-app monetization trends. Experience coaching or mentoring other sales professionals, with an interest in taking on broader North American publisher partnerships leadership responsibilities over time. Familiarity with SimilarWeb, BuiltWith, and advertising technology analysis tools. French language skills are a plus but are not required. An entrepreneurial, pragmatic, and analytical mindset, with strong listening skills, adaptability, and the ability to prioritize high-impact activities in a fast-moving environment. Benefits: Flexible remote work: Work from home and travel as needed to build relationships with publishers, with a New York-area base. Growth opportunity: Join the North American expansion at an early stage and help shape the regional publisher partnerships business. International collaboration: Work with colleagues across Europe and North America in a distributed, cross-functional environment. AI tools: Access to Claude for professional use, subject to the organization's AI usage policy. Health insurance: Health coverage as part of the employee benefits package. Retirement benefits: Pension plan. Life insurance: Life insurance coverage. Professional impact: Opportunity to influence go-to-market strategy, build strategic publisher relationships, and contribute to the growth of an evolving advertising technology business.
