We are currently recruiting for a Senior Quality Auditors at our new chilled potato product packing site in Boston, Lincolnshire.
Shift & Hours of work: 4 days on, 4 days off - rolling shift / Working 06:00hrs to 18:00hrs
Rate of pay: Depending on experience
Responsibilities
- Manage and support Quality Assistants to ensure the effectiveness of the team.
- Plan and issue daily/weekly tasks to Quality Assistants.
- Oversee the performance, coaching, and onboarding of team members to ensure high standards across shifts. Monitor and deliver training to the Quality Assistants as necessary.
- Partner closely with the Production, Engineering, and Hygiene teams to enforce Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) across the entire facility.
- Review and audit the site’s Quality Management Systems (QMS), HACCP protocols, and food safety standards.
- Lead traceability exercises—from raw materials coming from suppliers to the finished products delivered to customers. Take ownership for verifications and validations.
- Manage schedules for glass and hard plastic checks, environmental monitoring, and foreign-body prevention programs.
- Lead investigations into customer complaints, internal failures, or product out-of-specification (OOS) lab results.
- Formulate Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) to find the root cause of errors
- Conduct CCP assessments with Production staff to ensure competence and correct process flow.
Requirements
- Food safety level 2 or above, HACCP and Internal auditing certifications are advantageous.
- Experience in quality assurance/quality control/quality auditing
- Experience with internal auditing.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office systems.
- Excellent organisational skills and the capacity to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Strong communication skills for effective interactions with staff at various levels.
- Keen attention to detail and a proactive problem-solving attitude.
- Ability to lead a small team
