This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, which manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Sales Manager based in Australia. We are seeking an accomplished Senior Sales Manager to drive revenue growth and expand strategic partnerships across the Australian programmatic advertising market. In this role, you will focus on developing new business opportunities and strengthening relationships with major holding company (Holdco) agency groups across New South Wales. You will combine strategic territory planning, consultative selling, and market development to build a strong pipeline and deliver sustainable commercial results. Working closely with Client Success, Product, Marketing, and Sales Leadership, you will influence go-to-market strategy and help customers achieve measurable advertising outcomes. This remote-first opportunity is ideal for a commercially driven professional with an established agency network, strong industry knowledge, and a proactive approach to business development. You will also leverage AI tools and market insights to improve sales effectiveness and establish long-term strategic partnerships.
Identify, prospect, develop, and close new programmatic advertising opportunities with major holding company agencies across New South Wales. Build and execute a territory-specific commercial strategy to generate a sustainable pipeline, accelerate revenue growth, and consistently achieve or exceed sales targets. Establish, develop, and expand strategic commercial partnerships that create long-term value and scalable revenue opportunities. Build and maintain trusted relationships with agency decision-makers, senior stakeholders, and key industry contacts throughout the Australian advertising ecosystem. Identify new market opportunities through agency partnerships, strategic alliances, evolving customer needs, and changes in the competitive landscape. Manage and grow existing strategic agency relationships by uncovering opportunities to deepen partnerships, expand business, and increase customer lifetime value. Collaborate with Client Success to deliver strong customer outcomes, strengthen client relationships, and identify opportunities for account expansion. Work cross-functionally with Sales Leadership, Product, Marketing, Client Success, and Operations to share market intelligence, influence regional strategy, and support commercial initiatives. Develop a comprehensive understanding of local market dynamics, competitor activity, customer behavior, and industry trends to inform sales strategies and identify growth opportunities. Maintain accurate CRM records, manage sales pipelines, forecast revenue reliably, and track opportunities throughout the sales cycle. Represent the organization at client meetings, industry events, and networking opportunities to strengthen market presence and expand professional relationships. Use AI tools to enhance account research, prospecting, meeting preparation, client engagement, and overall sales productivity. Operate independently while maintaining close collaboration with the broader Australian sales team and other internal stakeholders. Requirements: At least 8 years of experience in digital advertising, advertising technology (AdTech), or programmatic advertising sales, with a proven track record of exceeding new business targets. Demonstrated experience selling digital advertising solutions to major holding company agencies, along with a strong understanding of the Australian advertising market. An established network of relationships within Holdco agencies across New South Wales is essential. Proven ability to build a sales pipeline from the ground up, win new business, and deliver consistent revenue growth in quota-carrying sales roles. Experience developing commercial initiatives, expanding strategic accounts, or driving growth in established or emerging territories. A strong track record of building long-term agency partnerships and developing relationships across multiple stakeholders within key agency groups. Experience selling demand-side platforms (DSPs), programmatic advertising platforms, or other AdTech solutions is highly desirable. Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to recognize market opportunities, prioritize effectively, and execute growth strategies independently. Excellent consultative selling skills, including the ability to engage senior decision-makers, uncover business challenges, and position solutions that deliver measurable results. Practical knowledge of AI tools and demonstrated ability to apply them to sales productivity, account research, prospecting, meeting preparation, and everyday workflows. Curiosity and initiative in adopting emerging AI capabilities to improve customer conversations, commercial strategy, and sales performance. Experience using CRM platforms to manage opportunities, maintain pipeline discipline, and produce accurate sales forecasts. Strong relationship-building, negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Ability to influence cross-functional teams, build credibility quickly, and collaborate effectively across a distributed organization. A proactive, resilient, and results-oriented mindset, with the ability to navigate changing market conditions and operate autonomously. Availability to work remotely from Australia, with a preference for candidates located in Sydney. Benefits: Competitive base salary: Annual base salary range of AUD $133,488–$183,546, depending on experience, skills, qualifications, location, and business requirements.
