Support the Security Consultant Lead by providing regular updates on project progress, deliverables, budget performance, potential risks, and scope changes. Monitor project hours and budget performance using Deltek, identify potential overruns or billing concerns, and escalate issues proactively. Identify out-of-scope requests and coordinate with the Security Consultant Lead to assess and manage change order requirements. Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and support to Level 1 and Level 2 Security Consultants, contributing to team development and knowledge sharing. Develop, review, and coordinate security design documentation, including Requests for Information (RFIs), Requests for Quotation (RFQs), submittals, and quality control reviews. Support Building Information Modeling (BIM) coordination, document management, and collaboration with project stakeholders and mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) disciplines. Use Bluebeam and other design tools to prepare markups, coordinate technical reviews, and track documentation updates. Participate in project meetings, site visits, and client engagements as required to support effective project delivery. Complete timesheets, project documentation, and administrative tasks accurately and on time while contributing to overall team success. Requirements An associate degree or technical degree from an accredited institution is required. At least 2 years of hands-on experience designing low-voltage and communication systems for buildings. Demonstrated familiarity with ANSI/TIA and BICSI standards and their application to building systems design. Experience using Revit for design development and coordination. Strong technical documentation, design review, and coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple deliverables and deadlines. The ability to work independently, take ownership of assigned tasks, identify project risks, and communicate potential issues proactively. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients, project leads, and multidisciplinary teams. A self-motivated, organized, and detail-oriented approach to project execution, budget tracking, and quality assurance. The ability to provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members. Preferred qualifications: Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) certification or active progress toward the designation; a degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline. Benefits Remote work: Work remotely from within the United States. Professional growth: Opportunities to strengthen your expertise in security design, low-voltage systems, and building infrastructure projects. Technical leadership: The opportunity to take ownership of project deliverables and mentor junior consultants.
