Join a high-impact engineering team building the core pricing infrastructure that powers critical lending decisions across multiple financial products. In this role, you will design and scale real-time systems that translate sophisticated risk models and business requirements into accurate, reliable pricing decisions. You will take ownership of complex technical initiatives, from architecture and design through production deployment, while improving system performance, resilience, and maintainability. Working closely with engineering, data science, product, and business teams, you will help shape solutions that influence revenue, profitability, and customer outcomes. This opportunity combines challenging distributed systems engineering with meaningful applications in financial technology and AI-driven decision-making. Enjoy a remote-first work environment, collaborate with talented professionals across disciplines, and contribute to technology that helps expand access to affordable credit.

Design, develop, and evolve high-performance, real-time pricing systems that support critical lending decisions across multiple products. Lead complex engineering projects from technical design through implementation and production deployment, ensuring scalability, reliability, correctness, and efficient iteration. Collaborate with data scientists, product managers, and business stakeholders to translate sophisticated models, pricing strategies, and business requirements into robust software solutions. Identify and implement architectural improvements that enhance the flexibility, maintainability, observability, and resilience of pricing services. Establish and promote engineering best practices for system design, testing, monitoring, deployment, and operational excellence. Contribute to technical decision-making, conduct design reviews, and provide mentorship and guidance to fellow engineers. Help evolve distributed systems and cloud-based infrastructure to support business-critical pricing capabilities and long-term product growth. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent qualifications, combined with at least four years of professional software engineering experience. Strong production programming experience in Python, along with experience using Java, Kotlin, or another strongly typed programming language. Demonstrated experience designing, developing, and operating scalable APIs, distributed systems, or microservices in a cloud environment such as AWS or Google Cloud Platform. Proven ability to own complex software projects end to end, including technical architecture, implementation, testing, deployment, and ongoing production support. Experience building and maintaining production systems with demanding requirements for scalability, low latency, reliability, and data correctness. Strong problem-solving, system design, and analytical skills, with the ability to make sound technical decisions in complex engineering environments. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, including the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Familiarity with fintech, financial systems, financial mathematics, statistics, machine learning platforms, or automated decision-making systems is an advantage. Experience developing business-critical systems that influence revenue, profitability, risk management, or core product performance is preferred. Knowledge of cloud-native architecture, distributed computing, platform engineering, continuous integration and deployment, or infrastructure as code is a plus. Experience collaborating with data science and product teams to productionize machine learning models, decisioning logic, or experimentation capabilities is desirable. Ability to work remotely while collaborating with teams operating across U.S. East Coast and West Coast time zones. Occasional in-person team gatherings are expected, typically once or twice per quarter for two to four consecutive days, depending on the team. Benefits Competitive compensation: Anticipated annual base salary of $166,900–$230,900 USD for U.S.-based remote employees.
