Full job description

This role requires a hybrid schedule and will be based in our South Charlotte, NC Headquarters (Monday through Thursday) and work fully remotely on Fridays each week. Red Ventures Home is looking for a Fullstack Senior Engineer to own the telephony systems and AI-powered tooling that sit at the heart of our sales center operations. You'll lead the modernization of our core telephony systems, build new inbound and outbound call flows, and embed LLM capabilities: call summarization, sentiment detection, automated QA: directly into the products our teams rely on every day. This is a role for an engineer who uses AI development tools not as a convenience but as a core part of how they build, and who wants to raise the bar for how an entire team works. What You’ll Do: Own BAU support of existing Twilio-based sales center tooling while leading the end-to-end migration of those systems to Genesys, including cutover planning, testing, and stabilization Design and implement new inbound and outbound call flows for new projects, working across the full stack from telephony configuration to backend services Identify and build opportunities to embed LLM and AI capabilities into existing products and workflows, including call summarization, sentiment and topic detection, and automated QA Use AI development tools (Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor) actively across the entire development lifecycle: writing, reviewing, and testing code: and build custom skills, prompts, and workflows on top of them to make the tools more effective for the team Mentor teammates on AI-assisted development best practices and drive adoption across the team, raising overall fluency rather than just modeling it yourself Implement new features in existing projects end-to-end, from architecture and implementation through deployment and observability Pair-program with teammates when they need help, and participate in formal and informal code and architecture reviews with genuine engagement Contribute to a team culture built on experimentation, Agile development, and intellectual curiosity What We’re Looking For: 7+ years of hands-on software development experience, with a track record of delivering complex features in production environments 4+ years of production-grade experience with TypeScript, JavaScript, and Node.js 3+ years working with a SaaS telephony platform: Twilio, Genesys, or comparable: including call routing, flow configuration, and integration work Active, daily use of AI-assisted development tools (Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, or equivalent) as a core part of how you already work, including building custom skills, prompts, or workflows beyond out-of-the-box use; this is a hard requirement Proven track record of building with or integrating LLM and AI APIs (Anthropic, OpenAI) into production systems Deep experience with AWS, including Lambda, ECS, and DynamoDB, and comfort with event-driven architecture Experience with Databricks or comparable data warehousing and pipeline tooling Familiarity with monitoring and observability platforms such as New Relic or comparable Proven track record of mentoring other engineers on new practices and driving adoption across a team Working knowledge of Scrum and Agile software development methodology Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to surface technical tradeoffs clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders Compensation: Total Cash Compensation Range: $100,000 – $175,000 per year Actual compensation varies based on location, experience, and qualifications. Additionally, the following benefits are provided by Red Ventures, subject to eligibility requirements. Health Insurance Coverage (medical, dental, and vision) Life Insurance Short and Long-Term Disability Insurance Flexible Spending Accounts Holiday Pay 401(k) with match Employee Assistance Program Paid Parental Bonding Benefit Program Flexible Paid Time Off (PTO): We believe time to rest and recharge is essential.  That’s why we offer a generous and flexible PTO policy.  Full-time employees accrue 20 days of PTO for a full calendar year annually, with an increase to 25 days after five years of service.
