Alongside core HRIS responsibilities, you will contribute to Power BI reporting and workforce analytics that inform planning and decision-making. The role offers visibility across the organization, with opportunities to strengthen data governance, improve system processes, and support ongoing transformation initiatives. The position can be performed remotely from the United States or on a hybrid basis in Calgary, Alberta.
Configure, administer, and maintain SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central, including foundation objects, business rules, workflows, and role-based permissions. Own and maintain Position Management structures, including organizational charts and company structure overviews, ensuring accurate organizational and position data. Configure and manage SAP SuccessFactors Compensation, including templates, worksheets, guidelines, budget pools, statements, and annual merit and bonus planning cycles. Support configuration across additional SuccessFactors modules, including Recruiting, Onboarding, Performance & Goals, Succession & Development, and Learning, as required. Manage integrations between SuccessFactors and other business systems, overseeing field mapping, replication scope, data validation, and troubleshooting discrepancies across connected platforms. Document system data flows and configuration processes to support audit requirements, data governance, and ongoing system integrity. Lead user acceptance testing (UAT) planning and execution for system changes, software releases, and cutover activities. Serve as the primary subject matter expert for SuccessFactors configuration questions, providing guidance on system functionality and HRIS best practices. Translate HR and business requirements into functional design documentation and scalable system solutions. Develop training materials and documentation to help HR business partners and stakeholders understand configuration changes and related reporting capabilities. Provide backup support for Power BI dashboards covering headcount, turnover, recruitment, and other business metrics. Assist with transitioning legacy and manual reports into validated Power BI solutions, capacity permitting. Deliver ad hoc reporting and analytical support for divisional and enterprise leaders, including quarterly business reviews and workforce planning cycles. Requirements: At least 5 years of experience administering SAP SuccessFactors, with hands-on configuration experience across multiple modules. Required experience with Employee Central, Position Management, and Compensation; exposure to Recruiting, Onboarding, Performance & Goals, Succession, or Learning is strongly preferred. Strong knowledge of SuccessFactors configuration, including foundation objects, business rules, workflows, role-based permissions, position management structures, and compensation templates and worksheets. Experience supporting integrations between SuccessFactors and other enterprise systems, including an understanding of data mapping, replication, and validation. Working familiarity with Power BI or a comparable business intelligence tool, including dashboard development or maintenance and basic data modeling. Strong understanding of HR data structures, including headcount, compensation, position management, organizational hierarchies, and downstream system dependencies. Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate with and present information to senior HR and business leaders. Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to translate technical details into clear, actionable insights. Demonstrated ability to maintain high standards of system accuracy, data integrity, and reliable delivery of workforce reporting. SAP SuccessFactors certifications in Employee Central, Position Management, and/or Compensation are an advantage. Experience managing end-to-end annual compensation planning cycles, including budget pool configuration and executive review and approval workflows, is preferred. Additional experience with SuccessFactors module configuration, mergers and acquisitions-related HR data integration, divestitures, or formal data governance frameworks is beneficial. Experience working in a matrixed, multi-divisional organization is a plus. Benefits: Work flexibility: Remote work from the United States or a hybrid work arrangement based in Calgary, Alberta. Professional impact: Opportunity to serve as a trusted subject matter expert for a core HR technology platform and influence system configuration, data quality, and workforce analytics. Cross-functional collaboration: Exposure to multiple business areas and opportunities to partner with HR professionals, business stakeholders, and senior leadership.
