Full Job Description

In this role, you’ll drive the continued automation of our liquidity management framework, improve trade finance processes end to end, and develop standards and policies designed to scale beyond EMEA. You’ll partner with our two other regional treasury centers to shape and align global standards, while bringing a “one treasury” mindset to a region defined by growth and complexity. Working across FinOps, FP&A, Tax, Legal, and external banking partners, you’ll connect multiple workstreams and keep them moving in the same direction.

You’ll be expected to challenge the status quo: where a manual process can be automated, you’ll fix it, and where AI can make the team faster and smarter, you’ll bring it to the table. You’ll have the autonomy to make those changes happen. Reporting to the Head of EMEA Treasury in Luxembourg, you’ll work across time zones in a fast-paced, sometimes ambiguous, high-impact environment. If you thrive on complexity, want broad exposure across Treasury disciplines, and want to help shape how Amazon does Treasury, in EMEA and globally, this role is for you.

Key job responsibilities

  • Liquidity Management: Drive the continued automation of liquidity management across EMEA, including cashpooling, funding optimization, and rule-based frameworks that reduce manual intervention and improve cash visibility.
  • Trade Finance: Lead end-to-end improvements to trade finance processes, from digitization through credit capacity oversight, to cut manual effort and increase speed and scalability.
  • Global Standards: Develop Treasury policies and standards that meet EMEA needs and scale globally, working with the two other regional treasury centers to shape and align a consistent global approach.
  • Cross-Functional Partnership: Collaborate with FinOps, FP&A, Accounting, Tax, Legal, and external banking partners to deliver cross-functional initiatives with a “one treasury” mindset.
  • Controllership: Embed Treasury policies, standards, and controls into day-to-day operations to maintain a strong, audit-ready control environment.
  • AI & Innovation: Identify and implement practical applications of AI and automation to challenge legacy processes, eliminate manual work, and raise operational performance.
  • Market Intelligence: Monitor financial market trends, regulatory developments, and the evolving banking landscape across EMEA, and translate those insights into proactive recommendations for Treasury strategy

Basic Qualifications

  • Experience applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses
  • Experience in creating process improvements with automation and analysis
  • Experience in identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes
  • Can demonstrate strong numerical and analytical skills
