Help shape intuitive, accessible digital experiences that support patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals across a connected medical technology ecosystem. In this remote contract role, you will contribute to platform experiences, internal tools, and product support solutions spanning an entire product portfolio. You will collaborate with product management, engineering, regulatory, quality, medical affairs, user research, and human factors teams to transform complex healthcare needs into effective, user-centered designs. From early concepts and workflow exploration to validation, approvals, and delivery, you will influence the full product design lifecycle. You will also champion design excellence, communicate a compelling product vision, and help teams make informed decisions. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced UX professional who combines strong interaction design skills with an understanding of healthcare users and regulated product environments.
Define product strategy: Partner with product managers, designers, and engineers to establish long-term product and service direction while identifying practical short-term priorities. Shape the user experience vision: Establish and communicate the visual language, interaction patterns, and overall experience principles that guide digital products and services. Design end-to-end experiences: Develop user-centered solutions across platforms, internal tools, and product support experiences, helping patients, caregivers, and healthcare providers navigate products and access assistance effectively. Advocate for users: Build a deep understanding of patient, caregiver, and healthcare provider needs, workflows, and challenges to improve usability and overall experience quality. Lead design activities: Take ownership of complex design initiatives, proactively propose new ideas, and deliver solutions that benefit the broader product portfolio. Collaborate across disciplines: Work closely with Product Management, Engineering, Regulatory, Quality, Medical Affairs, User Research, and Human Factors teams from initial concept through approvals and final delivery. Present design recommendations: Lead presentations for cross-functional teams and management, clearly explaining design decisions, tradeoffs, user needs, and proposed solutions. Strengthen design culture: Encourage collaboration, share design expertise, and positively influence design practices across teams and departments. Support usability and accessibility: Apply user research, usability testing, accessibility principles, and platform-specific design conventions to create intuitive, inclusive digital experiences. Contribute to continuous improvement: Identify opportunities to improve product experiences, internal workflows, design processes, and consistency across the digital ecosystem. Requirements At least 6 years of experience in UX design or product design, with demonstrated expertise designing patient-facing and healthcare provider-facing experiences in healthcare, diabetes care, or other regulated product environments. A strong portfolio demonstrating the full UX design process, including clinical problem framing, workflow mapping, data visualization, interaction design, usability testing, and clear design rationale. Advanced experience designing responsive web experiences and native mobile applications. Familiarity with iOS and Android design conventions, accessibility requirements, and platform-specific interaction patterns. Ability to translate abstract concepts, complex requirements, and clinical workflows into practical, intuitive, and engaging user experiences. Strong communication and presentation skills, including the ability to explain complex design concepts, articulate design decisions, and discuss tradeoffs with technical and nontechnical stakeholders. Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams throughout product development, validation, and delivery. Strongly preferred: Experience designing companion experiences for sensors, wearables, connected devices, or data-rich health products. Preferred: Previous experience as a Senior or Lead UX Designer delivering complex digital health, medical device, or clinical software products. Preferred: A bachelor’s degree in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Interaction Design, Product Design, Industrial Design, Cognitive Science, Human Factors, or a related field. Preferred: Proficiency with modern design, prototyping, and collaboration tools, particularly Figma. Preferred: Familiarity with design systems and AI-enabled design workflows. Preferred: Experience with regulated medical device software, prescription digital health products, human factors and usability engineering, WCAG accessibility guidelines, and healthcare onboarding. A user-focused mindset, strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to balance user needs, technical constraints, and regulatory considerations. Availability to work directly as an employee of the staffing partner for the duration of the contract. Benefits Hourly compensation: $55–$65 per hour, paid on a W-2 basis, depending on qualifications. Work arrangement: Remote position. Contract duration: Expected to run from October 26, 2026, through December 31, 2026, with the opportunity initially described as a contract of more than two months. Healthcare coverage: Medical, dental, and vision insurance. Behavioral health support: Access to a behavioral health platform. Health savings: Health Savings Account (HSA). Additional insurance options: Voluntary hospital indemnity, critical illness, accident, and term life insurance coverage. Retirement savings: Access to a 401(k) plan.
