Full job description
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Vice President, Clinical Practice Management based in United States. This is an enterprise-level healthcare leadership opportunity overseeing clinical practice management across multiple markets and divisions. The role provides strategic clinical leadership while driving consistent quality, performance, compliance, and value-based care execution across a growing specialty care network. You will directly support and develop Division Medical Presidents, helping them achieve strong clinical, financial, and physician leadership outcomes. Working closely with executive and operations leadership, you will help align clinical strategy with growth, operational performance, and long-term organizational goals. The position offers significant influence over physician engagement, leadership development, recruitment, succession planning, and clinical culture. You will also contribute to acquisitions, de novo growth, and new market expansion through clinical due diligence and strategic guidance. This is a highly visible executive role suited to a strategic healthcare leader who can lead through others and scale high-performing physician organizations.
Set enterprise-wide clinical strategy, standards, and performance expectations in partnership with executive leadership. Drive consistent clinical quality, performance, patient safety, compliance, and accountability across divisions and markets. Represent clinical practice management in enterprise strategy, executive decision-making, and board-level reporting. Partner closely with the operations executive leadership team to align clinical priorities with organizational growth, financial performance, and operational objectives. Serve as a strategic partner to Division Medical Presidents, supporting their financial, clinical, and physician leadership responsibilities. Partner with Division Medical Presidents on divisional P&L performance, revenue growth, and achievement of financial targets in collaboration with operational leaders. Support the recruitment, onboarding, development, and performance management of Site Medical Directors and other physician leaders. Establish clear performance expectations and accountability structures for Division Medical Presidents, including regular reviews of financial and clinical outcomes. Build strong leadership pipelines and succession plans for Division Medical Presidents, Regional Medical Directors, and Site Medical Directors. Operationalize the organization's value-based care strategy across clinical practices and ensure physician leaders are accountable for quality and value-based care targets. Partner with regional and site-level medical leaders to implement value-based care programs, monitor quality metrics, and drive continuous improvement. Cultivate a culture of physician engagement, clinical excellence, collaboration, leadership development, and accountability. Partner with clinical recruiting leadership to shape enterprise-wide physician recruitment and retention strategies. Serve as a key clinical voice in enterprise communications, organizational culture, and change management initiatives. Partner with executive and operations leaders to evaluate growth opportunities, including acquisitions, de novo sites, and expansion into new markets. Provide clinical leadership and due diligence support for acquisitions and new market development. Build and maintain strong relationships across physician, clinical, operational, and executive stakeholders while traveling extensively as required. Requirements: Bachelor's degree required; an advanced degree such as an MBA, MHA, or related qualification is preferred. A medical degree is not required. 12+ years of progressive healthcare leadership experience, including substantial responsibility for physician leadership, clinical operations, or healthcare delivery at a multi-site or enterprise level. Demonstrated success improving both financial and clinical performance across multiple markets, divisions, or locations. Strong understanding and practical experience with value-based care models, programs, performance initiatives, or contracting is strongly preferred. Proven ability to build, develop, and lead high-performing leadership teams through periods of growth and organizational change. Strong executive presence with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively with both physician and non-physician leaders. Demonstrated ability to lead through others at scale within a multi-site, physician-led healthcare environment. Collaborative leadership style focused on enabling physician leaders to succeed rather than relying on top-down direction. Strong strategic thinking combined with financial, operational, and business acumen. Excellent communication, relationship-building, stakeholder management, and change leadership skills. Ability to balance enterprise-wide priorities with the needs of individual markets, divisions, and clinical practices. Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment with significant autonomy and accountability. Willingness and ability to travel extensively for leadership, operational, and market-related activities. Strong commitment to clinical excellence, physician engagement, quality, compliance, and patient-centered care. Benefits: Senior executive leadership opportunity with enterprise-wide influence over clinical practice management. Remote-based position with extensive travel across markets as required. Opportunity to shape clinical strategy and standards across a growing multi-market specialty care organization. Direct partnership with senior executive leadership and Division Medical Presidents. Significant influence over value-based care strategy, quality performance, physician engagement, and clinical culture. Opportunity to develop and scale a high-performing physician leadership organization. Exposure to acquisitions, de novo site development, market expansion, and strategic growth initiatives. Ability to influence physician recruitment, retention, leadership development, and succession planning at enterprise scale. High-visibility role at the intersection of healthcare delivery, clinical excellence, technology, operations, and value-based care. Opportunity to help build a scalable, technology-enabled specialty care platform focused on improving patient outcomes and clinical performance.
