Full job description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Web Director based in the United States. We are seeking a strategic, hands-on web leader to own website performance, technical direction, and business impact within a fast-moving B2B SaaS environment. In this role, you will manage the website as a product, balancing technical excellence, search visibility, conversion optimization, and stakeholder priorities. You will translate business objectives into a clear roadmap, coordinate work across marketing, content, design, and engineering, and ensure initiatives deliver measurable results. You will also lead SEO and Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) efforts while improving website performance and the customer journey. Working with a lean, collaborative team, you will have significant ownership and the autonomy to make decisions without unnecessary process overhead. This remote opportunity is ideal for an experienced web professional who combines technical fluency, data-driven thinking, and strong cross-functional leadership.

Own the website roadmap and manage incoming requests from marketing, sales, product, and leadership, ensuring initiatives are documented, prioritized, and sequenced effectively. Develop quarterly plans based on business impact and implementation effort, balancing SEO and AEO opportunities, conversion improvements, technical debt, and stakeholder needs. Communicate priorities, trade-offs, timelines, and delivery expectations clearly to stakeholders. Serve as the website product owner, establishing standards for performance, Core Web Vitals, site architecture, technical SEO, and overall website quality. Monitor website performance metrics, identify emerging issues, and coordinate timely responses to changes in speed, usability, search visibility, and conversion performance. Translate business and marketing objectives into clear development requirements, tickets, and acceptance criteria for internal engineering teams and external agencies. Coordinate quality assurance, release planning, and post-launch validation to ensure website updates function correctly and achieve their intended outcomes. Manage external vendors and development agencies as needed, helping teams deliver fixes, enhancements, and new website experiences efficiently. Shape SEO and AEO strategy in collaboration with content teams and agency partners, translating strategic priorities into actionable plans. Use technical SEO audits, log file analysis, and AI visibility tracking to identify opportunities and incorporate findings into the website roadmap. Track website performance across sales-led and product-led growth (PLG) funnels, including traffic, conversion rates, page performance, and funnel drop-off. Partner with Marketing Operations and other funnel stakeholders to develop a connected, reliable view of the customer journey and website contribution to pipeline. Collaborate with product marketing, content, design, and engineering teams to plan and launch campaigns, landing pages, and site improvements. Lead regular stakeholder discussions, represent website priorities in planning conversations, and influence decisions by communicating risks and opportunities rather than creating unnecessary blockers. Plan and run A/B tests and landing page experiments on high-traffic pages to identify opportunities for measurable conversion improvements. Contribute hands-on technical work when it is the most efficient way to resolve an issue, while maintaining a primary focus on strategy, prioritization, and delivery. Requirements Eight to ten years of experience in a strategic web-focused role, with a strong understanding of the end-to-end website development lifecycle. Required experience in B2B SaaS, with startup or high-growth company experience strongly preferred. Working knowledge of HTML and CSS, familiarity with modern web platforms such as WordPress or similar technologies, and the ability to understand development workflows and troubleshoot technical issues. Strong understanding of website performance fundamentals, including page speed, Core Web Vitals, and technical SEO. Experience with technical SEO analysis, including log file analysis, and working knowledge of AI visibility tracking and the differences between AEO and traditional SEO. Experience managing website development as a product, including writing development tickets, defining requirements, supporting quality assurance, and coordinating releases with internal or agency teams. Demonstrated ability to manage a website roadmap, triage competing requests, and prioritize initiatives according to impact, effort, and business value. Experience using analytics, funnel metrics, and A/B testing to identify opportunities and improve conversion performance. Familiarity with reporting on sales-led and product-led growth funnels, including situations where the website owns only part of the overall customer journey. Experience partnering with product marketing and product teams to understand strategic goals and translate them into effective website priorities. Strong project management, organizational, and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders while translating business objectives into actionable technical requirements. A self-directed, action-oriented approach, with the ability to operate independently and coordinate effectively across functions. Proven ability to influence without formal authority, establish standards, identify risks, and build alignment among stakeholders. Confidence and professional maturity to represent website strategy in discussions with senior marketing and business leaders. Benefits Work arrangement: Remote position open to candidates based in the United States. Employment type: Full-time. Flexible work culture: A hybrid-first organizational approach that values flexibility and supports collaboration across distributed teams. Professional development: Training programs designed to help employees expand their skills and advance professionally. Meaningful work: The opportunity to influence website strategy, improve digital customer experiences, and contribute to enterprise technology initiatives. Collaborative environment: Work alongside experienced professionals across marketing, engineering, product, design, and other business functions. Values-driven culture: An emphasis on craftsmanship, trust, courage, freedom, momentum, humility, and human experience. Creative workplace: A team culture that encourages collaboration, fresh ideas, and a positive approach to work. Compensation: Salary details were not specified in the provided job description.
