MISSION

Full job description

MISSION TAR’s mission is to power intelligence for the world. We are building the world’s first off-grid power plant for data centers powered by renewable technologies. We firmly believe AI should be built in the US for the benefit of all people. For that, power must be fast, clean and scalable. We are singularly focused on delivering GW-scale power faster than anyone has ever done, by rethinking every layer of the stack. We vertically integrate to solve every bottleneck, from racking systems to power electronics to dispatch algorithms to on-site construction. Leave your mark on the future of civilization-scale energy infrastructure. COMPANY TAR is both a hardware and software company, we are building out massive, critical, physical infrastructure. TAR is working directly with one of the largest compute providers to scale and deploy 5GWs by 2028. We operate on…

  • High ownership. High Agency. Own project end-to-end. Great people don’t need to be managed.
  • Speed. We achieve great things on incredible timelines. We push ourselves to go faster.
  • First principles. No ego. No hierarchy. Challenge every assumption.
  • Passion. Solving the energy problem is one of the largest challenges that faces the world now and in the future. ABOUT THE ROLE TAR builds the energy infrastructure America needs. Fully islanded, off-grid solar and storage campuses engineered to power AI data centers, plus robotics that build them at GW scale. Before any robot can be deployed, it gets proven at our Field Testing site in West Texas. As Site Manager, you own that site: the equipment on it, the deliveries arriving on it, and the organization that determines whether the next round of testing starts on time. This is a hands-on execution seat based at the Field Testing site in West Texas. The role does not run on fixed hours. You are on-site ad hoc for deliveries and spend most days there, organizing and improving the facility ahead of the next test. RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Own inbound deliveries end-to-end at the Field Testing site: receive shipments, operate machinery to stage and move materials, and confirm nothing blocks the next test cycle.
  • Organize and maintain the site layout: storage, staging areas, and equipment placement.
  • Run inventory tracking for parts, materials, and equipment on-site, using Google Docs and Microsoft Office tools.
  • Coordinate with engineering and testing operations teams to anticipate what the next test round requires on-site, and prepare the facility before they arrive.
  • Show up as needed for deliveries and time-sensitive site needs. This can mean you will be required to be on site in the evenings at times.
  • Proactively identify and recommend facility improvements. Things like layout changes, storage upgrades, safety fixes.
  • Maintain basic site safety practices for a working test facility, including safe equipment operation, and housekeeping.
  • Based in: Odessa/Midland, Texas - on-site at TAR’s Field Testing site. QUALIFICATIONS
  • Forklift certified, with hands-on experience operating one in a warehouse or field environment.
  • Prior warehouse experience.
  • Basic competence in Google Docs or Microsoft Office for tracking inventory, deliveries, and site tasks in spreadsheets
  • Comfortable working irregular hours and being on-site ad hoc when deliveries or testing needs require it. NICE TO HAVE
  • Tele-handler certified. SALARY AND BENEFITS
  • Up to $15K relocation bonus
  • Unlimited PTO
  • Health, Dental, Vision insurance
  • $1K monthly stipend for meals
